They take care of us from the minutes we arrived at the airport until the next day when we have to go back to airport. Dinner and breakfast was amazing. Speak english (& do not laugh at my attempted spanish) The complimentary drinks in mini fridge nice touch after a long flight. Lovely little jucuzzi on roof, perfect for chilling. (The bar wasnt open up there not sure if this is because of covid but think when it is open would be nice little vibe up there) Tasty breakfast, although not a huge choice. I had fruit, juice, omelette & coffee …..perfect for me but other may prefer more. The only negative really, is i wouldnt exact call this downtown cancun, its more a suburb ……but it has a huge supermarket next door & is next to a lovely park & a few restaurants around. It really is just a perfect place to stay if you have a late flight & need to rest up

Reviewed By RthecruzFive stars, although its tricky to quantify a place so uniquely fantastic, and homely. I loved it here! There is no place like Mimosa, as there is no place like home. Seriously, throughout my stay (that was extended upon time and time again) here, this small yet considerate, caring and brilliant team of people really made me feel so welcome. To the point of family! That is a testament to the incredible atmosphere created by Mimosa and pushed by everyone. It is a relaxed, comfortable, addictive haven that stands apart from the general wildness of Tulum. Not to say that they don’t know how to party, as every Thursday the night hosted each week by a unique great DJ was always memorable! Everything else you could want is just down the road, a great location from which you can return to a clean, newly made bed and enjoy a peaceful night’s swim with some fantastic cocktails and friends to be made. For a hostel stay, you get all the perks and no negative mess. Perfectly clean bathrooms are a big bonus here. I want to say a massive thank you to Daniella, Ari, Elasio, Diana and of course Luna & Ernesto! For myself and all the other guests these guys, as well as everyone else, were really attentive to any requests and always did so with a genuine, personal touch. This isn’t a hotel where you get your room number and from there your name is long forgotten. That is what makes this place so special, an extra level of care that is consistent and a general high standard where the little things (the ‘how are you’s’ and fabulous local recommendations) are a priority that makes you feel truly at home. Expect to laugh, joke and sit at the bar with good vibes and music all round instead of being hounded for drinks like most places. You leave this place feeling relaxed, rested and above all, that’s the reason as to why I will for sure be coming back to Mimosa. Jewel in the Jungle
Reviewed By JanetteVWhat a wonderful little place. We were lucky enough to stay in the family size Cabana for one night. Wish we could stay longer! It was so peaceful and everything was perfect and so beautifully done. There is no air conditioner, only fans, but the weather was great so it did not bother us. Dinner was available at the onsite restaurant. The food was delicious! Breakfast included homemade bread. We followed directions on google maps and it had us drive on a road that is no longer used (glad we persevered and found Casa Mango!). So, do not take the first road left when you come from the direction of Tulum, take the second road left. There are signs for both roads. A very good value for money. If I am ever in the area I will make sure to stay there - more than one night so I can really enjoy the peace and quiet.

Reviewed By alexisgueStayed at Jungle Keva in March for a bachelorette party. Jungle Keva Villas were a dream in every way. The aesthetic, the pool, but most importantly the service and staff. The rooms are so beautiful and incorporated natural elements of the Tulum jungle. It it located 15 min away from the beach and main restaurant / club / party areas, so expect to spend $$ on taxis if you plan to go into town often. It's a great place to stay for groups and has a very zen environment for yoga, retreats etc. Kendall and her team made our stay so enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This continued upon arrival and throughout. We loved the water station and coffee machine in the lobby - much better than continually buying plastic water bottles! Lovely morning pastries, stylish rooms and nice rooftop pool. Location is fab - walking distance to the action but far enough away to not be affected by noise. It is not a luxurious stay but that is not how it positions itself or what is to be expected from the price - great value, team and experience!

Reviewed By 853satGood: • Room condition, layout Terrible: • In a country where one cant drink the tap water, I think a hotel of this standard should either provide filtered water for free or at a reasonable cost. This is where I have a major issue. I ran out of water once or twice and the hotel charges 80 pesos for the exact same bottle of water that costs 8 pesos in the supermarket. A 10 fold increase! I understand the need to make a profit, but when it is for a necessity like water I think this is gouging at best and in my book - repulsive. • Check-in - My room was not ready at check in time and I had to wait an hour. Nothing done or offered to ease the inconvenience. • Cleaning - My room was often not cleaned at all, or only very late. I stayed 2 weeks and basic amenities were never replenished. • Breakfast - Bad, bad, bad. Daily gruel of mashed black beans, nachos, bad scrambled eggs and super cheap ham. Some days - boiled vegetables! • Service - I could never get the front desk to answer a call and always had to walk down to reception. There was always a wait. • Maintenance - elevator got stuck - twice. • Further gouging - There are atms in the hotel (because you really need cash in mexico). Naturally they limit you to 3000 pesos per withdrawal with a fee of 200! • I raised these issues with Marriott directly in the middle of my stay - it took them 2 days to reply and the response was "speak to the hotel manager".

Reviewed By emwe86I booked a private room with bathroom. It was very spacious and had fridge, TV, AC, hangers, table with chairs, glasses and cups etc The sheets are super soft. The water pressure is great! There is hot water right away! I could here music from the street in the evening but it didn’t bother me. In the night it’s quiet! The hotel is on the main street with restaurants and shops. Beach is 5min away by foot and there is a supermarket 2 blocks from here. Can really recommend!

I booked a stay at Pecari 10 months ago, confirmed via Facebook, got confirmation back from Pecari, checked in upon arrival, paid, and then was told they had actually rented our room to someone else! I was told they had not received confirmation from us for the stay. I showed the owner the Facebook message he had sent me confirming the appointment 10 months ago. Unbelievable bad experience. We ended up in a nearby park scrambling to find another place to stay for three days when we thought our anniversary stay was planned and confirmed nearly a year in advance! Do you really want to book here and take a chance that upon arrival you actually won't have a place to stay?

Reviewed By Nancy274For the past 10 years I have been here at D'Angelos as a guest for 3 months. And, the same staff have been attentive and friendly all these years. Water, linens, large screen TV (with English channels) and any comfort I have at home is available here. The Pesso goes 'forever' in this coszy area of 5th Ave (the upscale area of Playa del Carmen) in exchange for the US $. The owners Angleica and Oscar extend themselves to make your Mexican vacation more than the usual. This little bit of heaven is a small 8 Unit Hotel Condo with a 24/7 security system and guard all night. We walk about town and to the beach near by daily. No other rental in the area offers so much to a guest. We hope to return for the next 10 years and enjoy these same pleasures. Don't miss a stay at D'Angelos.
