Airport transfer didn’t show up

Reviewed By 703aneekas

The hotel is well located and is a short walk from lots of sights in the historical centre. Additionally the building is impressive to look at. However, we found that service was lacking. Unfortunately our transfer, arranged with the hotel, did not show up at the airport. This meant we wasted a lot of time waiting and searching for a transfer that was not there and ultimately arranged our own taxi. We were surprised that there wasn’t an apology from the hotel. We were told they would investigate but we never heard anything back. Another useful point to note is that the bathroom walls do not go all the way to the ceiling meaning there isn’t much privacy in the bathroom. Overall, whilst the hotel is reasonably priced there are some downsides to consider.

One Cuidad Mexico de la raza its very conveniently located close to the airport for the scale of a such megapolis like CDMX .All the staff was cordial, polite and nice ,the room that we stayed was all the time maintained clean and fresh and even though the place isn’t anything special I highly recommend it solely for couple reasons-provides you with all you need while being all day getting to know the best places to visit and second off and more important they work with a tour/transportation company called “One Million Tours”-legit the best thing that happened to us .Not only that Hugo and his team alleviate the stress of being constantly ordering uber and taxi, because they were partial to us exclusively, but as well Hugo went above and beyond and was excellent assembling our schedule around what we wanted to do and see,so we didn’t waste even a second!!!Honestly haven’t seen such a awesome service for very, very long time-Kudos and keep up the good work! P.s.Still wondering what we would do without them...maybe we will be still stuck in traffic ...just for reference for short two days we were able to see ,The museum of Frida Khalo,Xocikmilko,la Basilica de la Virgen de Guadalupe,Coyoacan and its fabulous church ,las piramides de Teotihuacan,Paseo de la Reforma and we ate in various great places!!!

First Visit to Mexico City

Reviewed By Rebecca C

A friend booked this hotel for me because it was close to his house and he was going to be showing me around. The hotel is not in the heart of the city or the main tourist areas, but for my trip it was convenient. The area is much more residential and stores than touristy. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and a small shopping area across the street with a grocery store, clothing store, a few counter service food options, and a few other small shops. Two blocks away there is a large shopping mall and there are a few restaurants nearby. I stayed for 5 nights. The room had a modern feel and was clean and comfortable. The shower was very nice, good water pressure, very big, always hot water. Two of the nights it did get a little bit noisy, but not enough so that I couldn't get to sleep, but a very light sleeper might have had trouble. I paid in cash because in order to pay credit card I would have had to pay each day instead of all at once and I decided cash up front would be easier. And I was supposed to return my key to the front desk when I left the hotel, but they really didn't seem to care if I returned the key when I ran out for dinner or to do some quick shopping. I did find out after that they typically book rooms for the day, so that may explain the policies on payment and key use. Apparently my friend didn't realize that at the time he booked it for me.

You will not find a better place to stay in Mexico City, period. We are so lucky to have booked this place without really knowing how good it is. The staff are phenomenal, the ambience is amazing and the breakfast (included) is made to order and amazing! All the staff spoke so highly of the owners and how kind they are and it shows! It makes me happy to spend my money there! Specifically, the rooms are very comfortable, including the bed and the shower was so nice. It's just so relaxing and you can walk anywhere to eat, etc and feel.safe. Don't hesitate to book here! ?
