I believe Banyan Tree should review the agreement they have managing this hotel because this will be bad publicity on their name. I will try to keep this review short since it is always sad to make a negative review. The positive: Location. From this locations you can quickly access beaches on both sides of the Island, East and West. Also a quick drive to many sightseeing locations. Close to Benitses centre where You find many great Restaurants. The seeting on the Hill with Beautiful views to Ionian Sea and nice Infinity Pool. We had support from a lovely Concierge, Katia. She was the exception in kindness among the staff. The negatives: Bad service overall from restaurants, beach, pool and Housekeeping. They have a lot of staff but they are under trained and seem to be unhappy. Some of the staff was not friendly, and a few times displayed an aggressive attitude towards us, when we asked for the most simple things. Breakfast, below standard for a Banyan Tree 5 stars hotel in what concerns food quality and diversity. Caffe takes forever to be brought to the table. Often just when we had ended our meal. The floor was never cleaned between clients and a few times I had to mind where to step to avoid fallen food getting to my shoes. Housekeeping. Terrible. Rooms where poorly cleaned. Twice, while having the privacy light on, staff came in to my room. And we where not fully dressed. The corridors accessing the rooms where dirty the whole time. Beach Bar food is just cold sandwiches or salads and with poor quality. Room. We were given a connecting room although we asked for individual room. We where told the hotel was fully booked and we could not move to another. Next day we got a call telling us they had another room but we had already unpacked. And yes You can hear everything that goes on, on the connecting neighbouring room. Upon arrival until checking out nobody asked us if we enjoyed our stay. Exception to a bell boy that helped us with our luggage when leaving. I could share more negatives but it isn't a pleasure to do so. We also spoke with other guests who shared the same feeling of disappointment. Sadly I cannot recommend this hotel.

Reviewed By edwardpU8660ZNAlthough we have been to Katelios many times this was our first time at Efrosini and it has now become to go to place to stay! Lovely apartments. Great pool. Lovely staff. The grounds are spacious there is no hemmed in feel at all. 10 minutes walk and you are down in the main part of Katelios and the beach. Perfect!

Reviewed By jacquelinelouise1964Wow! What to say! Probably the nicest place that we have ever stayed at on our trips to Corfu! A Stunning location and right on the beach. A well thought out and planned swimming and sunbathing area. The pools and pool areas are all very clean and so is everywhere else. Breakfast was outstanding and could not be faulted in any way. The staff here go above and beyond to make sure that you are looked after without being too intrusive. The evening meal was delicious and so was the wine that George recommended. The bar area overlooks the beach and serves a great Pina Colada and other cocktails. We had a ground floor room with a terrace which had a sea view. The room was large with a nice kitchenette area which we didn't need to use as there are some tavernas a short walk away. The bed was large and very comfortable and the location was very peaceful at night and we went to sleep listening to the sound of the sea. The only downside is that we had to leave after 6 nights and we wished we had booked for a longer stay. Thank you to ALL of the staff (even the ones not seen) for an amazing stay! Modest, clean apartment
Reviewed By nicole_hnc98I stayed at Barbara Studios for 4 nights and it served its job. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions you have. The rooms are very clean however the block by the pool is very outdated. Tv is an old box tv and has one English news channel rest are in Greek I assume - although not a huge issue as you don’t go on holiday to watch tv. It can be slightly noisy at night due to planes flying past thought this is as expected as the hotel is 10 mins from airport. If you stay in number 13 bear in mind it has no private balcony. I also found it slightly hard to maintain the temperature of the water when having a shower, whenever I tried turning the hot water on it would turn cold and then hot again after a while. I found the beds and pillows very uncomfortable and hard and woke up with sore neck and shoulders most days, not sure if it might be the norm for certain European countries though as they may prefer their beds to be more firm? No microwave only hob and kitchenware will have to buy own tissues, cooking oil, washing up liquid, salt pepper. You also will have to ask for a toaster or iron as it’s not provided in the room. Since this was my first time visiting Greece I found out that you can’t flush paper down toilet and must throw them in the bins instead. The maids come about once or twice a week. The shop next door was closed during my stay there so nearest one is about 15min walk. Good few restaurants within 20 mins walking distance, I recommend Esperides need to try their orange cake - delicious! 2 beaches nearby - Ai Helis beach and Ammes beach. I recommend Ammes, about 5 mins longer to walk but definitely worth it. The sand is much nicer and has bigger beach bar, it was €4 to get a bed and umbrella for myself as I was travelling solo whereas in Ai Helis it was €5 and the path to get there is quite dangerous - very steep path and no handrails. Bus stop right outside hotel that comes every hour or so to argostoli harbour and is pretty reliable. Make sure to sit on the left side of bus when going towards argostoli to get best views. I had a boat trip one morning and the night before I asked Erato to pre book a taxi to get me to the harbour for 9am the following morning as the first bus doesn’t come until 9:15am, it arrived at 8:30am and was €17 very reasonable. If you rent a car you have to be a good driver as the roads are very narrow and winding you have to give way to everyone. Overall, Baraba studios is lovely for a quiet stay. I couldn’t give it more than 3 stars for the hotel itself but i give an extra star for the owners hospitality and friendliness. I would recommend to stay somewhere like Lassi for more shops and things to do as Svoronata is quite rural.

Reviewed By PaulineT72What a wonderful week, from the weather to the peace and quiet. Mila and Costa were great hosts. Mila is a miracle in the kitchen as the food was amazing. Most days we had the pool to ourselves despite the accommodation being full. We had one issue with the aircon and it was fixed the same day we reported it....superb service. STARS is certainly a place to relax and recharge, a place we look forward to returning to. Thank you Mila and Costa....from Sir Bob and Pauline

Bedrooms furnished to the highest standard, quality linens, spotlessly clean, friendly professional staff - in fact one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in. Only B&B available - and it's a great breakfast - and the food in the restaurant is so good you wouldn't want to go anywhere else. We would have returned in September if it wasn't fully booked! Cant wait to return.....

Reviewed By S5380JDsambReview Upon arriving to Amor Holiday resort at 10:30PM we went to reception to check in and it appeared as though no one was expecting us. We were quickly met by the manager who told us the hotel was not yet ready for us, and we would be staying in a sister hotel for the night. We were told we would be transferring to the hotel by shuttle bus, and the hotel was only 10 minutes away. A man in a white BMW turned up with his child and the manager told us that this would be our lift to the hotel. It was all very confusing as the driver did not speak any English and we weren’t sure where we were going. As it was our first time away this was a very scary experience and the journey ended up being closer to 25 minutes. We were told by the manager there was food being prepared at the hotel we would be staying at, we found out when we arrived at 12AM at night, that the only food being served was food from earlier in the evening which was 2 plates of cold rice and some sort of meat. We spent multiple hours trying to find somewhere to eat in Greece. We kept trying to find the reason as to why we were unable to stay at the planned hotel but to no avail. We were picked up in the morning after breakfast to be taken back to where we were originally staying. We checked into our new room and found out very quickly the air conditioning which was advertised did not work, not only in our room but any rooms in the hotel. We had to ask 4 or 5 times for it to looked at, each time the maintenance person just wondering off after looking at it. After about a day, they did manage to sort it. Me and my girlfriend are not fussy eaters in anyway however the food and drinks the resort are offering under ‘all inclusive’ does not reflect the amount we paid for the holiday. Selection is very limited, with only one main meal being served twice a day, everyday which is spaghetti bolognaise which is not even warm. There is no rotation in food, this is simply all they offer. As for the drinks, you have a selection of apple, orange, and pineapple juice but the machines are broken / dispensing water more often than not. They offer a very limited selection of alcohol which mainly consists of beer. So if you do not enjoy beer, I would strongly suggest not looking into this place any further. Because of the issues with the food and drink, we simply had to eat out every night, which cost us most of the euros we bought which wasn’t that many as we had paid for an all inclusive holiday. On top of all of this, the hotel simply is not ready for visitors. As I understand it, it has recently undergone a renovation, which has clearly not finished. There is maintenance ongoing a lot of the time, including late at night where they are setting rooms up which consists of lots of banging and drilling creating quite a disturbance. The general attitude of staff is unprofessional and smug, often finding thing funny when something is broken or doesn’t work. The only good positives we can say about this resort is the pool, which is lovely and the ladies on reception which really do a good job of making you feel welcome and doing their best to make up for the rest of the issues here. All in all, I would definitely not recommend Amor holiday resort, as it is simply not up to standard or ready to accommodate any guests.

Reviewed By wendybU827IMThis place is truly amazing. The hosts Alinta and Theodore are lovely and nothing is too much trouble they work very hard at keeping their guests happy. We had a first floor apartment which exceeded our expectations it was beautifully furnished and had a spectacular view from the balcony. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It was a perfect place to relax and unwind. We would definitely return if visiting kefalonia again.
