Papigo Towers

The name is due to the impressive Towers of Papigo, the five vertical cliffs EUR 700m. about everyone in whose lap is the "Papigo Towers". The guesthouse consists of two buildings, one of which dates from the early 19th century. The view from the terrace that seems to float across the Vikos Gorge, breathtaking, since nothing is interposed optically between the guesthouse and the mountains.

Farm-to-table lunch with breathtaking views

Reviewed By AlexP144

Amazing lunch with a breathtaking view! The building and its tiered terraces - all in hewn stone - overlook the gorge and are crowned by soaring peaks (snow covered in early Dec). The interior ambiance is a perfect blend of traditional, vernacular architecture and modern design. The fireplace fire added a homey feel. The menu was of a breath and scope that showcased regional and local products. Everything was cooked to perfection! The service was impeccable - flowing and friendly without being obtrusive. We felt at home (LGBTQ-friendly was to us a very important dimension). We give it our highest recommendation!

Koronisia Apartments

Easter vacation in a place out of this world

Reviewed By eduard116

The road to Koronisia gives you the feeling that you are walking on water. At the end of the road you will find the small island of Koronisia, where you will enjoy the silence, the nature and very friendly people. At Koronisia Apartments we were treated not like tourists, but like guests. Georgia - the host - brought us cookies she made herself, her brother has a taverna on site and provided us with delicious fish and sea food, her father invited us to take lemons from his orchard, her husband helped us with the official information regarding the travel conditions, some friendly neighbour gave us wine for Easter. And the Anastasi ceremony at the small church on top of the hill was magic. We also liked the great view from the apartment and the cleanliness. The island is ideal for people who like to walk (like us!) and enjoy watching birds (flamingo, pelicans, etc). It is also a good place to visit the surroundings of the Amvrakian Gulf, like Arta (with the nice kafeneion near the picturesque bridge), or Preveza, or the ancient Nikopolis (where you can walk on the footsteps of the stoic philosopher Epiktet).

We had a one night stay in Parga in Alexios hotel. A very clean place in the center of Parga. The host was really helpful and kind. We didn't have the time to spend time at the pool although it looks wonderful. We will definitely stay there again for more nights. A great, value for money stay.

The worst experience in this so called 5 star boutique hotel! The staff was incompetent, rude and not helpful. The owner was worst, add also arrogant! I have been in maybe 20 different hotels in Greece, all great actually. This one, incompetent, not worth the money absolutely, sraff terrible because of the owner, arrogant. Never more there, and I wish no one else will face such terrible experience especially with family!

Rodia Boutique Hotel

The "castle house" that houses the 4 star Rodia Boutique Hotel was built in the 1830. In order to function as a hotel, it was restored with absolute consistency to its original architecture and its structural peculiarities, and its interior was renovated and engraved with simplicity and discreet luxury, resting, cheering and inspiring.

Perfect Mountain Hidewawy

Rodia Boutique Hotel is a hidden gem in the little hamlet of Kipoi - near Vikos Gorge. I can't rave enough. The eight room Inn is great for a getaway. We used it as a base to explore the Vikos Gorge area. The manager (George) is local and knows the area very well. He gave us great recommendations for our (too short) 2 day stay. The inn itself has beautiful rooms, super comfortable beds and one of the best breakfasts we've had in our recent travels. I will warn you - the inn is "up" the hill from the main road but is definitely worth the extra effort.

Arhontiko Vourloka

Mediocre, despite the potential

Reviewed By TassosPng

It is a traditional guest house, in Pramanta, a lively village and the “center” of the fascinating North Tzoumerka region. Although Pramanta is not as charming as some of its neighbours, it is, possibly, the best choice to stay, to explore the region. The guest house is in the middle of the village, tucked onto a slop, above the bustling main square. To reach it by car, you should take a rather long detour, through a forest road, that takes you to the back side parking, or just park at the square and take the steep pathway up (just 100 meters long, but rather challenging for some people, I reckon). The building is old but renovated traditionally, featuring comfortable spacious rooms, with great beds and nice linen -although kind of urban styled, for my taste. The bathroom could be fantastic, if not occupied by an enormous, leaking, jacuzzi bathtub. The breakfast was served in a makeshift construction in the patio and was rather disappointing, despite the efforts. To start with, on the first day, the filter coffee machine was out, and on the second, it still malfunctioned; thus, the only options were instant or Greek coffee. And the question remains: why the espresso is still considered, in some venues, a “luxury”, when it, perhaps, is the safest and easiest choice? Other than that, apart from some local specialties, the buffet was far from hearty -very few choices, scarcely replenished, and poorly presented. Overall, the results did not reflect the good intentions. The potential is there; the family that runs it, as a side business, would just need some professional assistance.

Aiora Suites

Quaint beachside lodging

Reviewed By David S

This hotel got a 5 rating - but - it isn't for everyone. Not really a hotel as it only has 4 rooms but the rooms/suites are large and comfortable. There is a nice lawn between the room and the small pebble beach, just across a very small, not used much road. The hotel does have a restaurant/bar and there are more outdoor restaurants just above the beach. Guests get to use free chairs/umbrellas on the beach and staff will serve drinks and snacks to the beach. Friday nights can be lively with local music and karaoke. Loud if windows left open but rooms do have AC. This property is really out of the way of anything but we wanted a more laid back experience on the coast and this fit the bill.
