While the title seems to say it all, to put it into context, we have been traveling for 30 years and always arrange for our own guides even if we are on a cruise. Not only did Paulo have a tremendous depth of knowledge about both the past and present of Portugal, he had the ability to tell the story in a concise and relevant manner that was engrossing. There were a number times during our day with Paulo when we would say to ourselves, "This is the best guide that we have ever had"! And indeed he was.

The waters of the west coast are shelter and also the place of passage of different animals, such as sharks, turtles, seabirds, and mainly cetaceans (dolphins), with the “Bottlenose Dolphin” (Tursiops Truncatus) being the most sighted species. The latter dazzles any observer when he reaches an astonishing 4 meters in length and 45 years old and for some years now have been a regular presence in our waters. During this cruise you will have the opportunity to meet these fun and friendly animals, as well as marvel at the caves and rock formations that make the southern coast of Portugal one of the most beautiful in the world. Note: This activity lasts 2 hours departing from Peniche Port with a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 14. The boat may reach 30 miles per hour.

We decided to do something traditional for Portugal which was a fishing trip. Fernando and Rita met us in the port and from the first second they were so friendly and welcoming. We caught a lot of fish which were delicious on the barbecue after. On top of this they took us to see dolphins which was something we never forget - such a cool experience! We would recommend everyone to do this tour :)

We were travelling as a group of 6 friends. Hugo was our day long guide, he did a fabulous job and is very, very nice and informative. He also drove us down the coastline of Portugal, which was absolutely gorgeous. Included a delightful lunch, grilled fish was delish as was the wine!

We had tickets to see Madonna's Madam X Tour in Lisbon in early 2020. On our prior visit to Lisbon with my mother, we had such a great experience with Andre we reached out again to arrange custom tours to Sintra and Porto while there. Andre was such a pleasure and made sure we had got the most out of our trips outside of Lisbon. The first trip was to Sintra. While Pena Palace is a very popular and photogenic site to visit, there are other palaces and hidden gems to include while there. Make sure you include local food and drinks as well. We are still missing the pastries at Piriquita and the local foods at restaurants in small towns along our way. The views along the coastline are spectacular. A couple of days later we did a day trip to Porto to see if we should stay there on our next trip to Portugal. What a great decision! I was well worth the trip to view the city from the bridges, walk through the city, sit and sample port wines (with chocolates) and views at a local distillery. Andre's tours will not disappoint you and if you have can't decide, he is very good at helping you build the tour that best meets your needs. Highly recommend checking out his new website and plan for an unforgettable time!

My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Lisbon and wanted to get out of the city but weren't sure how to go about it. Friends of ours recommended Alexandra and we booked a day trip with her to Sintra/Cascais and had the best experience! She picked us up in Lisbon and drove us through Cascais (we stopped to walk around and grab a coffee), then continued on to Sintra to Pena palace, a delicious lunch (she recommended a restaurant and we ate on our own), and went on to several other breathtaking sites from there. Alexandra is so knowledgeable and constantly checks in to make sure you're happy with the plans and seeing the things you want to see during your trip. She also strikes a great balance between guiding you around and leaving you to explore on your own. Even though we hit some bad weather during our trip we had an amazing day and I could not recommend Alexandra and her team more. This is a must do!
