Although the weather was not on our side, I really enjoyed this sunset cruise! When I decided to book a sailboat cruise on the Tagus, I struggled to find any tours still operating, especially on New Year's Eve. Luckily I saw one of the Tagus Cruises ships on the river in Belem and searched for them online. The booking was easy, we were six people in total. The skipper was very friendly and told me a lot of cool sailing stories while also explaining how the boat worked! We had a complimentary drink and although it rained for a bit, we saw a rainbow at the end and that made it all worth it. Highly recommended!

We all know that the fellows of the animal kingdom are mostly unpredictable, that is why we were happy that we are going to be guided by a biologist, aka a marine life expert. We went on a 4 hours expedition with ECCO Ocean, full of hopes and dreams about the magical experience we (thought) were about to have. Before we registered and paid the deposit, we asked them what are the odds that we are going to succeed and see dolphins. We got the answer that the last 40-50 times they always succeeded, so we got really excited and registered immediately. Do not get us wrong, the staff was helpful, kind and informative, but the whole ... let’s just say ... sailing turned out to be a huge disappointment. We only saw a few medusas and approx. 10 seabirds, nothing else. Not a dolphin, not a whale even fish we only saw in the port when we were finished... At the end of the tour we still had to pay full price although (100 EUR) we did not get what we came for. For us it was an awful customer experience, because during the cruise we thought to ourselves that is okay, it is not their fault, you cannot always win, but if it only happens once or twice, then it is not a big of a deal, if you at least have your unhappy customers not to pay full price, or you offer them a second tour... At least in ny thinking. It was a really big dream of ours to see dolphins, whales, but we ended up 100 EUR short, upset and very, very sad... We wish you all better luck, I wrote this review as a note to be considered before you get your hopes high.

Experience like none other! We actually didn’t get lucky our tour date because, of course, it’s wild nature, so we didn’t find any dolphins during that tour and we were supposed to leave Portugal later that day but things got mixed up and we stayed a day more. After our “unsuccessful” tour Sid mentioned that in case we stayed he’d invite us to next tour’ so we tried to contact him if he has by any chance some tour booked for the next day. Despite us texting him in late afternoon, he replied and actually took us again the next day, without having ti pay for this second tour! Which, I think, is amazing in these “covid-times”. Not only the weather was nice, but we actually got to see A LOT of dolphins! It was incredible. The staff were genuinely very kind and helpful, I can’t think of anything negative.

The meeting point was central and they kindly waited 5 mins for us as we got stuck in traffic coming back from the beach. The tour was in English too which was helpful. We were served wine Red /White. Music was played in the background and we got to see the main historical points in Lisbon.

We were in Lisbon for five days. After a couple of days of just wandering, we decided to take the yellow bus. We paid for three days which was 49 euros. It seemed alot of money but it was worth it. We spent one day on the tourist tram. We were the only two people on the tram, which was great. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to go along the whole route. It was fantastic as it took you all through the old town. We saw a couple of places we like the look of and so we then got local trams (included in the price of the yellow bus ticket) to head to one place (Graca) for lunch and then another tram to Estoril where there were some lovely gardens to just chill. The next day we took the purple line in the morning and then in the afternoon we took the riverboat cruise. Fantastic and really loved the river cruise. The final day we took the blue bus and saw a completely different part of Lisbon. You can do a 2 day option, I would definitely choose the tram and river cruise and then probably the blue bus.
