The shrine is situated on the mountain. You need to walk uphill to reach the shrine. The nature along the way and freash air will make you feel not tired at all. The nature is very beautiful with river, waterfall and forest . The shrine is great and once you see it, you could know it is, really valuable property. The place is peaceful and quiet. Worth to visit

Mt. Harunasan Ropeway

Ropeway across the Harunafuji is the outer rim of the caldera lake of Mt. Haruna one of JOSYU(Old country name meaning Gumma prefecture) three mountains of Gunma Prefecture (altitude of 1,390.3 m). It takes about 3 minutes to get on from Haruna Kogen station (altitude of 1097 m) at the foot of the mountain to Haruna mountaintop station (1366 m altitude). The route length is 527 meters and the altitude difference is 269 meters. You can enjoy a refreshing aerial walk that overlooks the emerald green Lake Haruna, the mountains of JOSYU and on the sunny days the Kanto plain spreads enough to see the sky tree. Nighttime operation is performed according to the Haruna Lake illumination of December in the year. From the summit you can see the night view of Takasaki / Maebashi and the whole view of the illumination venue. In addition, the first sunrise service will be carried out on New Year's Day from 5:30 in the early morning. Access is about 40 minutes from the Shibukawa Ikaho I.C.
