Barnsley (/ˈbɑːrnzli/, locally [ˈbaːnzlɛ]) is a large town in South Yorkshire, England, located halfway between Leeds and Sheffield. Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the town centre lies on the west bank of the Dearne Valley. Barnsley is surrounded by several smaller settlements which together form the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, of which Barnsley is the largest and its administrative centre. At the 2011 Census, Barnsley had a population of 91,297.

I am a frequent visitor to the Maurice Dobson museum the staff are all volunteers and enthuse about it and they do their upmost to make us welcome they encourage children to participate and promote local artists long may they continue thank you one and all Christine and Terry

Allow plenty of time to browse this centre, there’s lots to see and bargains to be had. The staff are super friendly and helpful and you’ll often meet some of the dealers there. The choice and selection here is superb, a must visit antique centre.

The building also has a large Panorama display and event space, working offices and several work hubs, as well as boasting a blend of historic and modern architecture enhanced by the adjacent Mandela Gardens. This public space was redeveloped in 2009 for the first time since the 1980s, and also includes facilities for outdoor performances. Spread over a few quirky floors and units, a really eclectic mix of goodies to look through. Unusual pieces, and great prices. Not suitable for families with young children, but easy to lose a couple of hours in here

Been here many times 20 out of 20 can’t under stand people I add to wait 10 min and couldn’t eat prawns out of bowl which are very nice bowls grow up it’s a lovely clean place to eat you get what you pay for if you are tight go to mc Donald be going again soon all products are good quality

What an indoor market. We have never visited one quite like this. It really is marvellous. Loads and loads of stalls or selling various produce and products. You can even buy a three piece suite. The top floor is given over to food outlets mainly and there is a terrace outside where you can sit in the fresh air and sunshine with a pint. Lots of different types of food available. The stall holders are very friendly. If you visit Barnsley I would recommend you go inside and have a look around for yourself you may be pleasantly surprised
