Samet Nangshe Viewpoint

Reviewed By panitchayap - Bangkok, Thailand

Samet Nangshe Viewpoint is one of the most popular viewpoints in Phang Nga, which is a province in the South of Thailand, nowadays. The viewpoint located at the top of the hill. You can reach there by feet or serviced taxis; however, since I have been there twice using both means, I do suggest you choose the serviced taxis. The serviced taxis cost 30 Baht per person for a round-trip ticket. However, if you really enjoy watching the plants and the animals along the way up there, you can try walking. Please bear in mind that the hill was quite steep, you need to be very careful. The view up there was stunning; especially at the sunrise and the sunset. At the viewpoint, you can see many mountains, the sea, the rivers, and even some small islands in the sea in the panorama view. The place was quite crowded, but it was worth to go and see the view once. Although you are not a good photographer, I am pretty sure that you can take a beautiful photo there.

Mon Bridge

It is the longest wooden bridge in Thailand and it was built for comfortable transportation of people living in Sangkhlaburi and Mon Villagers. Nowadays the bridge is closed for vehicles but you can still walk over the wooden bridge. The bridge is a popular place to see an unforgettable sunset or sunrise at the dam. You also can take a bath like the Mon kids.

This photogenic pedestrian bridge is the longest wooden bridge in Thailand. It connects Sangkhla Buri to the Mon Hilltribe Village. It is in use everyday and regularly maintained. We visited at New Year 2020, so there were many people giving food to Buddhist monks early morning on January 1st. It is really worth the trip to see it!

Kao Khad Views Tower

Khao Khad Viewpoint Tower We hired a moped during our stay in Panwa Beach and decided to explore the local area. We came across Khao Khad Viewpoint Tower and were amazed by the 360 degree view that it offered from one of the highest points in the area. There are 136 steps to reach the top so this isn’t for those who have difficulties with mobility and there is no lift. However, it is truly worth the effort. You can easily see Khao Khad Bay, Panwa Cape, the ‘Big Buddha’ and much more... We went early in the morning but I can imagine that the views would be equally beautiful at sunset. There is a bar serving food and drinks on the site which we also stopped at. In summary, a great place to experience the amazing views of the local area and would highly recommend.

Khun Chang Khian

Reviewed By chris89_berlin - Kolobrzeg, Poland

The trip going there was 400 baht per person from doi suthep going back and forth. The ride was a little bumpy for the last 2 or 3 kilometers and a bit dusty. The road is very small especially the last bit, but the song thaeo driver did a good job. The park was very beautiful during my visit on January 5th with the trees being in full bloom. Nice place for pictures and to have a moment in peace and silence away from the city when you walk for a bit. Food and drinks are sold by the hilltribe. You can eat some very sweet strawberries and drink a cup of coffee that grows here.
