From the entry instructions, your adventure starts... Entering the loading bay and into the reception you are blown away with the attention to detail. Artifacts, maps, trinkets and discoveries fill cabinets and the walls for you to look at whilst you wait. Lizzie was fantastic at pointing out "Harry Potter" discoveries to our daughter, who was nervous, and put her at ease. The briefing done, we enter and the adventure begun... no spoilers here, but I shall say, the hour whizzed by and we escaped with 4 minutes to spare! The attention to detail is outstanding, not an inch of space is wasted, and some items are used two or three times. With plenty of "oh that's what it's for" and "we need to find" moments you are busy from start till finish. I am honestly in awe of the ingenuity of the creators, as this is something else! Highly atmospheric and like playing a real life version of Myst with some aspects of the Crystal Maze, Indiana Jones and The Room all in one. Loads of puzzles, loads of secrets, and loads of clever technical stuff. You need to work as a team, and help each other, but there is no space for anyone to take a back seat as you all have to help in parts. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and wish there was more to do! We are looking forward to the new experience as we will be back to tackle that one too! Highly recommended as this is an escape room I doubt can be beaten!

Today we tried Case 47, The Mole. It was a virtual experience rather than in person. The game was part us remotely solving puzzles and part directing our agent in the field. The office was kitted out with cameras to allow us to survey the scene and most helpfully one serving as our eyes of our agent. I don’t want to give anything away, we just about solved it in time with a few gentle nudges, which was needed when you are not in the room yourself to see all around. I would recommend this as a really fun experience. We played in a mixed age group of 4 people (9-70) and all enjoyed it. Give it a go and see what you think, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

A group of friends and myself had recently done an escape room and we loved it so we decided to book The Lab at the Cyantist. It was a great experience with a nice narrative and a great build up. There is music playing at the same time which builds the tension up. We finished the room in about 38 minutes and since we had a little time left over, we decided to have a look in the other room. Since we had adrenaline coursing through us, we decided to do the second room as well since there is a great offer that allows your group to get the second room for half price. Extremely friendly owner and we had a great time. Would recommend :-)

We have three small rooms all under the Esplanade. Each room is redone every 6-12 months so that you can visit multiple times. We lock you in for one hour while, as a team, you have to solve a variety of clues and hidden messages to unlock multiple locks in order to escape.

My brother had been wanting to do an escape room since the concept had started but we waited for an occasion to do one and this DID NOT disappoint. There were some jumpy bits which made it all the more exciting. We liked the fact there were crosswords and riddles on the wall which if solved gave you a clue. Will be back for part 2 early next year :)
