One night in Pai

Reviewed By Odyssey158713

We stayed for one night in a garden room. Although small there is everything in the room you need. Beds were really comfortable. They also provided mosquito coils on the balcony so you can sit out at night. It was no problem for them to replace this again and put an oil burner in side later in the evening so we could sit out when we returned from dinner. We would happily have stayed a second night, but we were touring the northern area and had pre-booked our accommodation.

Reverie Siam

“Reverie Siam is a concept Resort inspired by the cultural fusion that occurred in the early part of the 20th century. Circa 1925, The Great War has been over for nearly a decade. Prohibition in the States has given birth to Speakeasies with musicians such as Bessie Smith, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong providing the soundtrack. New advances in transportation allow those hungry for adventure and wealth to try their luck in new Lands, in our case Southeast Asian Lands. For those fortunate enough to be successful an easy decadent existence follows. The fashions and trends they import with them merge into the local cultures and an intoxicating blend ensues. We celebrate this blend, choosing to remember as if by the dreams of those who might have participated long ago, in those heady days of romance, adventure and elegance. ”

excellent location, and there was nothing wrong with the place, but just stayed in better places. room is small and basic for 2 people, with no room turnover (did not bother us at all but mentioning as might bother others). hammock a nice touch. bathroom attracted a lot of bugs able to get in through the roof but it is quaint and tolerable right along the river which is very pleasant for a short stay which is all you need in Pai.

Worst hotel/resort you can ever stay in Thailand

Reviewed By Bobby Y

The worst hotel you can stay at in Thailand! My partner and I spent 8800baht (around 200 British pounds) on a Grand deluxe room for 5 nights. Check-in was decent but the reception lady was very rude. Once we got to our room, we instantly saw debris and insects all over the couch. Which was still bearable. But later on, we noticed a few spots of bloodstains on our pillows and bedsheets and a few of the towels inside our bathroom. My partner and I felt uncomfortable staying there and requested some help from the reception. This rude reception lady wasn't helpful at all and gave us no explanation or solution but to change the towels and bedsheets with bloodstains on them. Their hospitality was so rude and poor, that we requested a refund. After 40 mins of explaining and negotiating a refund agreement with Agoda's service team and the Quarter, the Quarter and Agoda finally agreed on a full refund. We then found ourselves another resort for the 5 nights. It has been two months, and Agoda and the Quarter still haven't refunded me. After 3 weeks of communication with Agoda, they have refused to help or comply with the agreed refund. The Quarter's response was even the worse, instead of the promised refund written by them on the email they could only offer us 1-2 nights stay when we originally booked for 5 nights. After this one and the only response we got from them, they stopped replying to us and ignoring our calls. Telling us their manager is missing every time we call them on the phone. In the end, I never got my money back and never heard from Agoda or the Quarter again. Never book this hotel/resort and Agoda!!!!!!!! They are a bunch of frauds. Agoda does not assist you if anything happens, all they do is tell you to message the hotel/resort, instead of communicating and assisting on your behalf as a travel agency you book from. The Quarter, I have no other words to describe this place but money scamming business. I hope after seeing this review, it will save some of your hassles and reconsider somewhere else.

Rim Pai Cottage

Rim Pai Cottage is in a prime location in Pai. The best location. Smack, bang in the middle of all that is happening. Literally 2 metres from the main attraction, 19 elevated bungalows sit in a sumptuous garden landscape welcoming you to Pai. We are certainly not the cheapest place in town, plenty of backpacker dormitories around if you are into that kind of thing, nor are we the most expensive. What we do offer however is quality and peace in a beautifully crafted garden. If you ever come to Thailand and not visit Pai, you'll be missing out on one of most relaxed and hippyfied towns in all of your entire world. Pai is a beautiful, quiet little town in Northern Thailand and is host to the excellence that is Rim Pai Cottage.

Stayed here two nights on a motorbike tour of the Mae Hong Son loop. Wonderfully warm and friendly reception set the tone for the whole visit. We were shown to our lovely cottage, on a nice riverfront piece of property. Comfy bed, and great breakfast the next two mornings. Not 5 star accom, and doesn’t advertise itself as such. We were pleased we stayed and would return.

“Outside is better than inside”

Reviewed By Kuan Wah P

It is situated rather far away from the walking street but made up by the free transport arrangement to bring guests to and back from the town centre where eateries and bars are located. The single pro and con are both related to its location and accessibility. Furthermore, from the micro perspective, accessibility is also about within the premises. It is certainly not wheel chair friendly and those carrying luggages should avoid upper floor as it is staircase only. In fact I think the hotel management should advise its customers that they should not bring their luggage along to check in but after checking in at the counter, then bring the luggage via the carpark slop, to avoid climbing steps to reach their rooms My second take on this lace is that while it is named a resort and indeed its external environment is a resort like setting, the rooms need to maintain a certain degree of upkeep in housekeeping. The bathroom is certain ly below expectation - at best 2-star. I am not sure why the handle of the shower is made entire of metal as when hot water passes through it, it is quite impossible to hold it without being “burned”. The water pressure of the heater is inconsistent thus resulted in uneven passing out of hot water, making balancing a continuous fussing game. It is such a pity that such minus issues are overlooked by the hotel management which may affect retuning customers.

Nice hotel with a good river view, very relaxing

Reviewed By chephrenchua

The villa is beautiful, though the walk from the check in to the villa is far (we got the river view) so not for those handicap people to lug bags around. The spa pool in the room are not cleaned, so it's a waste of one of the best features. The entrance is hard to find so try not to go at night, one 1 staff working that I saw for check in, the walk to the villa is also quite dark. TIPS: Quite alot of insect, so bring your own insecticide if you hate bugs. They have a hot spa pool though, bring your swim suit.
