Reviewed By HarshadCChecked in yesterday and qe are staying here right now. Very disappointed with the stay. The rooms are old and have issues. The toilets have drainage issue and there is water clogging in the shower area. The WC do not have water jets. Off the 5 rooms booked, only 1 has a jet. The property is fine and location great but the reception staff was unhelpful. At 10.45pm last night they did not give us water as they had closed the room service for the day. This ting info was never shared. The kids in the group are not supposed to ask even for water post 10.30pm. The housekeeping staff was rude and said they were busy and could not come later for servicing. Did not expect such bad service from a reputed property. Staff at restaurant are however very good. No wifi in our wing...have come out near restaurant to post this.

It is a home away from home for me now; it is a haven of tranquility, exceptional customer service, fantastic food, inspirational sunset, and, my personal favorite, unmatched-exceptional staff. I won't write a book on how great this place is, but if you are in the process of choosing hotels in Phuket, go for The Surin, don't think. It is exquisite. I just came back (June 2022) from a two-week stay, and I'll be honest, I did everything possible to delay or miss my flight, but unfortunately, destiny won, and I had to leave. But I will be back for sure, and not once. Highly recommend it for all age groups, celebrations, and people that want to bring tranquility back to their lives. Reviewed By wengtowardWe got married in this resort so it's always a special place to visit for us. 3 years had been since our last visit before this May. A lot of changes have been done. The resort itself looks more modern and there are more restaurant options available. It was nice to see some familiar faces like the staff Prince, and he's always that helpful and attentive. We especially liked our dining experience in Age, one of their new restaurants, and would totally recommend it to anyone whos visiting. We were a little disappointed with the Thai restaurant, where the tom yu soup was served pretty much like a sauce than a soup, as it was way too thick, which we had feedbacked and staff had done service recovery. Aside from that, breakfast is still top-notch in Anantara and you can't beat this to others. If you are looking for a spa treatment during your stay, we'd highly recommend their Himalaya spa treatment for your consideration. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The modern touch in the resort was great to see post-renovation, though the old Anantara was already nice in many facets and we hope the place can continue to keep up its standard in the delivery of luxury and tailor-made hospitality. We'll look forward to our return again in the future.

She could not do enough to assist us and make our stay more enjoyable, going above and beyond what was expected, a credit to the Business. Although on a business trip this time, I will certainly be looking to return for vacation with my family.

Nice time in a not so 4 star hotel
Reviewed By Safari353164We visited Phuket in May '22 and our stays started with a not se good room in this hotel. It was not the cleanest, also there was a bad smell and some things were leaking. After we had enough we met Mr Edward from the reception staff and he managed to turn things around. He was very kind and helpful and we could see on him he was really trying. We managed to upgrade to another room and that was completely different. It was clean, nice cent and spacious (was a bigger room though), and everything was working and in good condition (more like I would expect from a 4 star hotel). Other facilities were average though I have to admit that the food in the hotel was very nice and the staff was kind. If you visit this hotel note that there is difference between rooms. Some are refurbished and newer and cleaner and some are not in a good condition at all. If you don't feel good ask for Mr Edward he will help you at his best and you will feel the difference. Thanks a million Mr Edward, you managed to turn around a holiday which was almost lost.

Reviewed By deekshamalikJust checked out after staying 4 nights at their Banyan Pool Villa. Location: Located at a Secluded area of Laguna. Beach is not private and dirty. Location is far from happening areas so be prepared to spend money on taxis. Patongbeach cost one side 700 baht Grab. Room: They write something in description for booking and have something else. Room size was mentioned 170 sqm and when arrived it was very small villa, disappointment started. We asked the person who showed us the room, she said it is 140 sqm, there it was the reality. Checkin: They made us wait when already passed the check in time and made us eat some complimentary fruits to compensate. Check out: worst part of our experience. I had already paid and my taxi to airport arrived to take us to airport. The concierge person didn’t let us take our bag. Already paid and checked out, given the bag tag, showed the bill and still gave us an insulting experience and made us wait when we were getting late to catch our flight. Such a NOT so 5 star and that too the price they charged us for 4 nights experience. Breakfast: Good spread for locals or who can eat meat. Limited options for vegetarians and vegans. Swimming Pool: Good experience. Pros: Good staff except the check in and check out experience. Property is big. Complimentary bicycle, but they didn’t provide a lock. Someone stole my bicycle outside of my villa. I had waste my one evening for that ans getting another one. They should provide locks like some other 5 star does. Cons: Room sizes as they mentioned in the booking description. Check in and check out. Average food taste. Suggestion tip for hotel: Provide shuttle to town and Patong beach. You can charge some if you want. Provide lock for bicycle. Shall never return to this resort in Phuket.

We stayed in a Spa Pool Villa, very spacious, very comfortable & very clean! The bed was the best in our 3 week trip to Phuket ... I struggled to get out of it!!! The food & service at Firefly & 360 was exceptional. We had breakfast (included), lunch & dinner on other days & could not fault a thing. Beautifully presented with the best ingredients & lots of flavour. We were lucky enough to stay over Thai New Year & the hotel organised a superb evening with a buffet & Thai dancers .... this was a highlight of our trip & the staff went to great efforts to put it all together. Laying beach is a short shuttle away & is really very beautiful. The shuttle service is regular & also drops off at a very nice shopping area with good restaurants around. As others have said I have to finish with the staff - there are far too many to name - but collectively they are amazing, and this is in EVERY department. Just so helpful, kind & friendly .... well done to all of you! On a personal note - it was great to see you again Mike & Patts & we look forward to coming back next year to stay in one of your refurbished villas xx Rose & Grant

Reviewed By ScaryBI stayed here for two nights in April '22 with my daughter. We had a villa style room with a separate bedroom, different from most of the other rooms. The good: - Location. This strip of beach is an easy walk from the hotel, gets you access to a range of beach bars and restaurants. More of a "cool" nightlife atmosphere compared to Patong etc. - The swimming pools were great. - The food was pretty good, although the beef salad and tortilla I had was ordinary. - The beds were super comfy, and the villa rooms were quite well designed, cool even without constant air con The bad: - Check in was a bit of a grind - Value for money was not so great, in a time of post-covid the room rates were not super competitive, the food & drink was a bit steep. - The Wifi broke, but they despatched an engineer and fixed it in good time - no nearby 7-11 or Family Mart, just some abandoned ones, I assume this will change in time if they reopen. There was a pretty good curry place across the road, very full of hotel guests when I went! Would I stay there again? Yes for sure. This is nothing to do with the hotel, but a general warning, the beach shack bars are really cool for drinks with an amazing sunset view and sand in your toes, but I had a pasta there that was not nice at all. For food there are way better options (like Beach Cuisine).
