One of the best parks in Sydney, well maintained by the local council with wonderful trees and plants and great views to the city and bridge on one side and Mosman Bay on the other. So accessible, only 10 minutes from the city by ferry.

Bicentennial Park

Reviewed By gds199 - Sydney, Australia

I am disappointed we didn't get to this place earlier, all this time I have been in Sydney I have been missing out! Relaxing park that caters to everyone. Plenty of open green slopes for picnics, bbqs etc, walking paths for a short stroll, interesting water features, cafe areas and play equipment for kids, good bicycle tracks for those wanting to ride at pace, plenty of tracks for a good run, educational structures, as well as a water way / creek with plenty of bird life... Must visit more often to explore this place fully.

Holroyd Gardens

Reviewed By 88tony88 - Parramatta, Australia

Came here for an evening walk after dinner. Holroyd Garden is a great place for both kids and adults. There were two playgrounds, a bicycle track for kids, a small walking track for those who love exercise. There was plenty of parking on site and it is easy accessible by car or public transport. There were buses stopped at the corner of the garden and Merrylands train station and shopping centre just a stone's throw away. There were public toilets and BBQ facilities in the park. The garden was fenced for safety purposes and it is opened from sunrise to sunset. There was an old brick factory outside the park and plenty of professional wedding photographers brought the bridal parties here for wedding photography. This is probably due to this old abandoned brick factory looks antique and a beautiful small lake next to it. There were plenty of ducks swimming in the lake and I could see some parents brought their kids to feed the ducks. Holroyd Garden is a great place for kids and adults for social gatherings or relaxing.

Walking around the park, only a few minutes from Blacktown station, you could believe you are far from a large city. The bird wildlife, the interesting facts dotted around the walk makes you aware of our part in the ecosystem. Relaxing picnic areas, bbqs, waterplay area for young kids, basketball courts, open fields for footy, a great place for a family gathering .

Milson Park

We discovered this park only because we were going to see the Jacaranda's on McDougall Street. Such a lovely wide expansive park but not huge. You can sit by the water and relax and there are some amazing palm trees which add to the beauty of this place. There''s a small kids playground otherwise green grass to sit on. Definitely will come back.

Brennan Park

Reviewed By 752lynj - Sydney, Australia

We love Brennan park! Its a huge drawcard in the local area for family and friends to meet or celebrate a special occasion or just to take the kiddies to for some fun! We have celebrated a few birthdays here. They have recently improved the park adding much needed seating and upgraded the kids play area. The park itself is huge and plenty of room foor ball games etc. There are also council toilets on the grounds. There is a huge fig tree which provides lots of shade. You can also train watch nearby which the kiddies love! Its a beautiful spot to just take a book & relax or do some yoga! I highly recommend a visit!
