One would beg to differ from the previous review! We have lost of the number of times we have visited Sweetwater over the years. The beach has one of the most magnificent settings with a great cliff towering behind it. Excellent swimming with a lovely beach. The second set of sun beds onwards is naturist. The taverna Is as crazy as ever. Delicious lunch with local wine we then took the wee ferry on to Loutro.

Wonderful trip to see Crete from another perspective ! It was fun to see the caves and coastline with George's comments. The time swimming around with tuba and fins in the turqoise waters was relaxing and refreshing. A great moment and we highly recommend it to those visiting Crete and wishing for a different type of excursion.

This place is simply a great place to climb and swim all in one day. There are bolted routes on the beach! The swimming and snorkeling was great! It wasn't very crowded and it seems like only the locals go there. Great spot for people who don't want to be around other tourists!
