The Nea Agathoupoli Obervation Tower offers an impressive view of the Thermaic gulf, the Aliakmonas Delta and the Nea Agathoupoli wetland, hosting thousands of birds, especially during the winter. Visitors can enjoy wildlife, using a telescope and binoculars. Also, they can walk a twenty-minute route parallel to the wetland, and see the region’s aquatic life and wading birds at close quarters.

The White Tower is an iconic seafront landmark in Thessaloniki with an incredible history. The information inside is very well presented on each of it's floors (in Greek only, but there are audiophones available at the entrance). It's a well worth climb to the top where a small shop is located - the view of the seafront from there is superb. Well worth the small entrance fee and it's one of the attractions included in the Thessaloniki combined cultural ticket.

While touring around the city by bus, our guide stopped for us to stroll around this tower and enjoy the panoramic view of the city below. Despite the glare, heavy heat and humidity of the day this was a must-see.

This is a beautiful landmark and truly worth the climb, it was early evening when we visited so very few people about and the oasis of calm was worth it to reflect on lost loveones.

The view from up there is amazing, especially at sunset, you are able to see mainland Greece as well as Poros and it's harbours from this point. Not too easy to find and the clock tower is currently under construction/ has green netting over it. Would recommend!
