Woodman Inn

Went to the Woodman for the first time after lockdown and it was great. Sat in the beer garden, which is a credit to Lin the landlady, full of beautiful flowers, and large umbrellas over tables. The Ladies were immaculate( and I guess the gents also!). Its a "real" pub.No music, slot machines etc so you can have a conversation with pals.. Step the barmaid is fantastic and Lin is also very welcoming. If you're in Shrewsbury, it's worth the walk up Coton Hill to visit.

Old Market Hall

Built in 1596, Shrewsbury's iconic Old Market Hall was lovingly restored and re-opened as a contemporary cinema and cafe bar in 2004. The intimate 81-seat cinema screens a diverse programme of independent film, classics, world cinema, documentaries, and popular releases. The accompanying Cafe Bar is hugely popular as a place to meet friends and relax in historic surroundings, serving an array of teas, coffees, cold drinks, cake and alcoholic beverages. There is no place like... OMH.

The Old Market Hall is a gorgeous historic building. Inside there is a cafe and movie theatre. You can visit either or both. The cafe has fantastic views of Shrewsbury and it's a really lovely place for a brew. They have a lift as well as stairs to get to the top.

The Nags Head

Reviewed By neildavy61 - Cardiff, United Kingdom

Thank you to Russell and his team for a great welcome and a really relaxing time in a traditional pub, with a very nice outside area, well kept ales and a good range, including my favourite Wye Valley offerings. Great regard and respect also for the friendly locals and most especially those who assisted in my medical episode. OK so I got the wrong Nag's Head in the first place, and got shipped off in a taxi to another Nag's Head miles out of town, another lovely place but this was the original target and this is the biz, ha ha, but apparently I'm not the only one to have done this! Laughs galore. Hope to return one day to the wonderful town of Shrewsbury and this great traditional boozer - and next time I shall not be accompanied by the (whether you like it or not) Delilah toting Tom Jones impressionist

Ten & Six

In one of Shrewsbury's most iconic town centre buildings, we bring you Ten & Six, a Champagne bar inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

We booked a baby shower afternoon tea in the private room upstairs for 14 of us. From my initial communication with George to when we left the service provided by Ten & Six was amazing ! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff especially our amazing server Isla who catered to our every need with such lovely charm and professionalism. I would thoroughly recommend the afternoon tea (delicious) and booking this venue for a party - thank you to all xx
