Esteban was very accommodating and is extremely knowledgeable about birds and wildlife. We went on a morning birding tour with him and it was my teenage son’s favorite activity of the whole trip. We saw quetzals, toucans, bellbirds and many others! Esteban was patient and helped us to get pictures to document and remember our wonderful day.

Come to know one of the most important destinations in your visit to Costa Rica. This town without access by road will show you a natural paradise that will captivate you. We did a Panama and Costa Rica tour where in only 10 days we could see the best of each country thanks to the professionalism of the Mr. Jose Luis and his team who at all times were aware of every detail. I do not usually write reviews on any website since I am a traveler who normally organizes freely my trips but it was really a success to have had the services of this company without which we would not have enjoyed and taken advantage of the time so much. Really thanks guys for your great attention.

Once the sun sets in the Costa Rican rainforest, we start hiking and looking for exiting species of animals while the jungle takes on a totally different character. It goes from a green cathedral-like forest, where beautiful shining blue morpho butterflies fly along small rivers, to a pitch-black jungle, filled with the sounds of millions of insects and dozens of frogs & toads. It is the same green fascinating forest, but now it´s dark and you are ready to go find what’s out there! It’s the best time to find, observe and photograph beautiful tree frogs, shy snakes, colorful insects, mammals and other rainforest creatures that only come out at night. The beautiful symphony of a tropical rainforest at night is one of the most exiting experiences; turn off the lights for a moment and listen to all the secret sounds. Be aware, it is quite an adventure to be in the rainforest at night.

We learned so much more than the fascinating process of the growing and refining of chocolate on our short hike through the rainforest. Juan, a very well educated naturalist, taught us about the unbelievable health benefits of cacao, the pollination of vanilla, medicinal plants, coffee making (and brewing methods), extracting sugar from sugarcane and creating our own drinks and chocolate concoctions. This tour was an unexpected highlight of our vacation! No one should miss it! It was fun, educational and eye opening. And don’t worry....we don’t think Juan really used his old sock for our coffee filter????????????

We often book walking tours in most of the places we travel to. This tour was hands-down the best so far. Our tour guide, Jason, was funny, extremely knowledgeable, and detailed. At each spot, he explained the surrounding with a touch of history and politics. The markets were out of the world. Don't think twice to try out the food sample he offers and dine at the local spots he suggests. The food will blow your mind. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this tour.

I actually went to two tours (also did Rio Tempisque) with Native's Way. Our guide Gustavo was friendly and very informative, telling us about the plants birds, and of course about the wonderful volcano fumaroles, mud puddles, etc. Gustavo was a good driver, and accommodated our need to have occasional bathroom or snack stops. One suggestion to Native Way would be to be a little more clear about what to bring along; we did not need a change of clothes after the hot spring dip, as there were changing room. I would definitely book again with these folks next time I vacation in Tamarindo.

Such a great experience!! And a BIG shoutout to our guide, Marvin! We saw two types of sloths, three types of monkeys, frogs, iguanas, butterflies, and more! It was definitely worth the price and definitely made our experience in the park much better. I would definitely recommend it. We got great pictures and learned so much. My group was young adults, but this would be great for all ages.

We saw several sloths and baby sloths during our hour at the park. Also very entertaining and fun to talk to about all aspects of Costa Rica if you’re interested. Overall 10/10, he made the experience even better.
