Get to the scenic area of the Yulong river, hire bicycles or e-bikes or simply hike the area and enjoy great views along this river at the base of a range of limestone karsts. there are lovely little surprises along the way, in the form of local village life, excellent little hotels, boutique and rustic country style, and little coffee shops that will delight you with their menu choices.

Fantastic views from the top. Possible the most amazingly beautiful views in Yangshou County. Photographers haven. But to get to the top, you have to ascend a little over 300 metres.

We stayed at possibly the best riverfront hotel on the Yulong river right in the middle of the landscape. Plenary of Hiking on and off trails through the karst and riverside as well as cycling on fairly flat paths and roads. We visited for Christmas so the area was very quiet which is perfect. The West Bank of the river is not developed and worth a hike through the wild side. if you get a chance take a sightseeing helicopter to really appreciate the expanse of this landscape. We’ll be visiting again I’m sure.
