Chimgon

Charvak Lake lies in the vicinity of Chimgan Mountains and a wonderful place to spend one’s summer’s break. Snow covered mountains with pristine meadows, tall trees adds to the beauty of this artificial lake built to provide electricity to Tashkent. The blue color of water is matched by the green colored mountains and the distant snow covered ranges. At a first glance one is amazed that such a beautiful lake and snow covered mountains are just at the corner of desert land. A peaceful place to enjoy the surrounding beauty. The biggest snow peak is known as ‘Bolshoi’. Several resorts lines the lake. Local mountain honey is unique buy of this place. During our visit the chair-lift was out-of-order. Lack of local transportation has kept the lake area more attractive for tourists.Perfect for a days trip from Tashkent with friends, family and even solo travelers.

Charvak Reservoir

Reviewed By purplekitty2016 - Bengaluru, India

What a beautiful place. Lake Charvak is a popular resort in Tashkent region and thousands of holiday makers from all over Uzbekistan and neighbouring countries visit the reservoir. Villages on the banks of Charvak such as Yusufhona, Burchmulla, Nanay, Chorvoq, Sidjak, Bogustan, and their surroundings offer wide range of hotels, dachas, houses and tapchans to accommodate tourists. Yusufhona is also a popular place among paragliders and provides facilities for this sport. Sadly, paragliding was missing as we could not go to Yusufhona but we did the Jet boat ride which was just awesome ???? The place is surrounded by beautiful mountains ⛰ The drive is beautiful without any twists n turn n on the way u can stop to go up one of the mountains on a chair car n what a view from up above. You should carry ur swimsuit and beachwear. I would highly recommend a day or two stay if u want to unwind and just relax it out. Definitely worth a visit if u r visiting Tashkent

Alisher Navoi National Park

Reviewed By Moonamuslim

It is a beautiful, well-kept green area with alleys and flower beds, which creates a special romantic atmosphere. Everything is well maintained and invites you for a romantic walk. It also has several fountains, a lake and water channels in the park. You can rent a boat, ride a bike or roller skate. In the hot season you can swim in the lake. Alisher Navoi National Park is one of the largest city parks in Uzbekistan. The park is located on Almazar Street, one of the main arteries of Tashkent. The main entrance of the park is to Beshagach-Platz. The park was founded in 1932 and extends over 65 hectares. Today the park bears the name of a great medieval reconnaissance man Alisher Navoi. In Uzbekistan, Navoi is celebrated as a folk hero because of his poetry. He is considered by many to be the greatest Turkic-language poet of all time and influenced many poets, including those from the Ottoman Empire. In addition to his poetry, Navoi is also known in Tajikistan as a builder and art sponsor. There are various attractions. In the middle of the park is the Alisher Navoi memorial, as if blessing young people. For children, there is an exact copy of a real railroad built in the 1940s with rails and wagons, but smaller than the originals. It is also an important part of the city because the parliament building is in the park. In addition to the parliament building, there is also a concert hall (Itsiklol) and an exhibition hall. And of course one of the landmarks - the artistic, turquoise / light blue domes. Like the other sights in Tashkent, everything was very well-kept, very clean and very relaxing. Everything is designed with love and care. It is worth taking a leisurely stroll and enjoying the park.
