Had an absolutely brilliant time here for my mum's 50th birthday present. Ryan and the team were fantastic. Made us feel welcome from the second we got there. The birds are so well looked after and loved. My mum handled many more birds than she was expecting and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. She was a little nervous around some of the biygger birds of prey but was put at ease straight away. We were given facts and information about each day, but in a way that it didn't feel like a lecture. I was just a spectator, but even I had a brilliant time and the lunch was delicious (and massive!). Would thoroughly recommend and have started hinting for my own birthday now!

Friezley Wood

Reviewed By hawkes2an - Cranbrook, United Kingdom

At one time, timber was very important to Kent. In this part of Kent, around Cranbrook, as well as being used for heating and cooking, timber was used for both housebuilding and shipbuilding and also as fuel for the huge Wealden iron industry. The iron industry has long since gone but timber is still used for domestic fuel and coppicing, which is also a benefit, for wildlife and flowers produces a sustainable supply of wood for fencing. Friezley Wood, near Cranbrook, along with nearby Brewers Wood and Hillywood, and, not that far away, Angley Woods and Comfort's Wood, are just remaining bits of the once great forest that used to cover the High Weald of Kent. Friezley wood, along with those others woods, is just great for dog walking and getting out and about in the great outdoors. There are paths and trails both through the woods and also round and about in the neighbourhood but be warned, in we weather they can get very muddy.

Scotney Castle Garden

Reviewed By preglad - New York, United States

For awhile, I'd thought that Washington D.C's free museums (which would take a fortnight to engage) was the singular behemoth and clearly most profound source of vast cultural, artistic and informational largesse to be found anywhere in the world. Now I feel otherwise. There's nothing akin to the National Trust, and combining it with English Heritage (they do share eight sites), one can spend a lifetime intimately and joyously engaged in its wonders. Taking Scotney Castle and its gardens as a magnificent - if somewhat less familiar - example of its splendid offerings- is like being a child at the shore digging in his or her toes for a wondrous moment. All extraneous motion ceases in yet another examination of a unique brightly colored and fantastically shaped shell ambling about on a remote perfectly pristine Carribean or South seas beach. There's simply no pail big enough to hold one example of each kind of miracle, no legs or life long enough to engage al the options. Scotney stretches our credulity in terms of the notion of Castle, though the inclusion of a mote easily complicates the issue. Is it not more an estate beyond certain aspects of historical choice and exterior trappings? It seems far too warm and cozy to be completely comfortable as either in any case. And then there's the garden. What a wonderful competitive counterpoint or complement. Take your pick. The price of admission is worth either context in itself. In our last two lengthy UK trips alone, totaling almost four months, we've saved almost $5000 on an investment of $500 with annual memberships to both the National Trust and English Heritage. If I could bring home but a few simple treasures to savor at home in New York, they'd include a great scone or two, some wondrous clotted cream and jam to go along and all the inclusions of those two amazing organizations: The National Trust and English Heritage.

Really really impressed with our visit to this park with the grandchildren aged 10,7 and five. Plenty of variety; a lake, imaginative and well laid out play area, brilliant skate board, scooter and BMX track as well as extensive all weather tarmac and duckboard footpaths through woodland, grassland and orchard area. Very easy to supervise the children in the open areas and lots of variety. The icing on the cake was the cafe at the end of all the exercise. Well done Tunbridge Wells......a brilliant facility

Bewl Water

Visited Bewl water yesterday it was really lovely and a place would I would reccomend, the boats and water activities are really good if you are into water sports and fishing we didnt use these activities ourselves. We did the 13 mile walk around Bewl river but wasn't prepared as we hadnt planned to do it but started and thought may aswell finish. We didnt have any drink or food which wasnt ideal so I would higly reccomend preparing for the walk ahead of doing it. Its really good and peacful just make sure you wear good walking boots, comfortable clothes and have food and water it took us 4hrs 55mins to do the walk non stop. There are loads of cyclists doing it so just be mindful of that aswell. Toilets are very busy so big queues and arent maintained so arent the best or cleaniest toilets to use, restaurant was fine we just got a snack after our walk they served crsips, chocolate, cake and drinks aswell as hot meals burger and chips £8.50 not sure how that was as we didnt have it but seemed popular.
