The place to hang out and chill. All streets lead down to the water. Everyone in town heads here in the cool of the evening to walk, talk, sit and chow down. Nice handicrafts and breathtaking view of the lit up Wat.

We went late afternoon and expected it to be packed with day-trippers from Pai but there was hardly anyone there. We had our own tour guide so for most of the trip through there were just three of us. It's a huge set of caves with very impressive rock formations. The guide shows you around with a small hand lamp which is really atmospheric. The last section of the cave is on a bamboo raft - again really atmospheric with the water full of fish beneath you and the cave roof covered with bats. Be prepared - it can be hot and humid in there In the latter stages the smell of bat dung is pretty strong. And there are some very steep steps to climb which brought us both out in a sweat. My partner doesn't like heights and some sections were tricky from that point of view. We paid for the return boat trip through the cave but chose to walk back as it was a nice evening. We had a very quiet walk back on our own through the forest trail. We loved it.
