Today,the museum exhibits approximately 100,000 insects of various taxon and more are constantly added.The majority of insects are butterflies (lepidoptera) that belong to an extensive collection of more than 40,000 species,subspecies and races.Not only is the Entomological Museum of Volos unique in Greece,but it is the biggest and the most complete private museum in the Balkans. The museum is open daily but only by appointment.

Spyros is an incredibly enthusiastic, kind and proud owner of his collection of antiquities, geological stones and minerals and artifacts depicting Greek mythology and Greek gods! The paintings on the ceilings we found especially beautiful! Spyros gave us a personal and enthusiastic tour and told us about his findings with a lot of wit. We would definitely recommend going here! It is a good way to see a broad spectrum historical Greek treasures!

This is a wonderful building in Kifissia which you should definitely visit. The museum has amazing exhibits. The lady at the reception is very kind and informative. Dining in the museum's restaurant, you will enjoy a great meal. Also the staff that will serve you are very kind.

This unique museum offers a large variety of exhibits on 4 levels of this large open spaced building. Allow up to a couple hours to explore and participate in the interactive displays throughout the facility. From dinosaurs, to earthquake simulation, many dioramas, technology and science displays, this museum has something for everyone and has an elevator to each area if stairs are and issue for anyone in your family.
