A grate experience of us to visit the Netaji birth place Cuttack. It ambiance was very nice. We went to that place from Bhubaneswar by car. Entry fee to the museum Rs 10/- per person. The beautiful gardening around the museum along with nice emotional photos of Netaji around the garden. It took 1 hour to visit the two storied museum. The museum covered birth room, reading room, prism ambiance, library ( you can read books from library), INA (Indian National Army) bank , number of photos of political movements etc. There is a sell counter for different kinds of books, T Shirts etc.

Odisha is home to the maximum number of tribes - 62. Just spend 2-3 hours in this museum and you will get to know a lot about them. The best thing is they have a good AV kiosk. My son just freaked out on that. He developed a lifelong interest in tribal life in 3 hours. They also have a souvenir shop and a book shop. Book shop is really good. A must-visit for children aged 7-14

The museum celebrates the craftsmanship of our artisans by putting on display their breath-taking masterpieces. Divided into 2 blocks, the museum has a display area and a live section. The display area focuses on galleries about Handicrafts and Handlooms from around the state while the live section is equipped with an open air theatre as well as separate workshop zones.
Its well designed museum with serene environment. AV theatre as nice small movies worth watching, will collectively take almost 40 minutes! The actual museum is very well displayed in various sections which are numerically tagged. Pots and Tulsi Pot are still fresh in mind! Metal and silver artefacts are eye catching. wooden panels of door are ancient beautiful, one would want them on own door too! Textile including silk are wonderfully displayed, reminding of great culture of Odisha! The staff is courteous and helpful, adding the value to museum.

The maritime museum offers a splendid look at the ancient voyages from the coast of Odisha to Java, Sumatra, Bali etc. It also has a small aquarium and a great 4D theater. Overall worth the money and couple of hours you spend in it. You can also have a walk along the banks of river Mahanadi just across the street.
