The Duke William Hotel sits in the historic Bailgate area just a short walk from the Castle and the Cathedral. Boasting 9 recently refurbished rooms and a cottage next door, it is an ideal choice for a comfortable, relaxed stay in the beautiful city of Lincoln. Breakfast is included for all bookings. Lunch and dinner is also available in our downstairs cosy pub environment.
We selected the Duke William because it had been a stop for our traveling companions many years ago. It is a pub that has resided at that location since the 1600's and has 9 en-suite rooms. The location is perfect for walking to the main street of the town, Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral. The rooms were top drawer and the food very good. The staff was pleasant and responsive to our requests. The one concern we had was access to the WiFi amenity. Even though the staff responded to the concern, we were not certain the technical issue was fully addressed/corrected. We all were eventually able to access the system but the situation was frustrating. Overall, it was a very nice stay at a historically valuable property.

What a fantastic place. Lots of parking. Great outside grounds [very family / Dog friendly] Play areas really nice outside seating areas. Comfortable bed - nice bath and shower. Matt and Claire obviously run the pub and hotel in a way that the staff are like family (all went about and beyond) there was approximately 70 of us. Back of house staff / front of house staff all had a smile and friendly greeting. The Bar staff definitely earned their Christmas Bonus looking after us. Justyna, Mitch, James and Oliver were just a few of the staff too many to mention. Allie was amazing. Food good value - and cooked to perfection Music - live band Football on TV POOL TABLE was fun [Tommy taking on our best player at the end of the night] Dart board.. Really great place to stay

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here jubilee weekend to celebrate together. Our visit started off well. Easy check-in. Friendly staff. Great Central Location. The room itself was very spacious however was very disappointed with the bathroom. Edges off the floor and the bottom off the shower was covered in grime. The bathroom also smelt off sewerage. We ignored the bathroom faults and continued with our night away to find blood stains on our bedsheets. Gross !! The pub had closed and all staff had left the building so we wasn’t able to request fresh bedding. We arrived back at our room around 11:30pm to hear boom boom boom. There is a nightclub located next to the pub. The music vibrated the walls and was awfully loud. To top off the night there was a taxi rank across the road. This also caused a lot off noise. The nightclub closed at 4:00am. It was around 4:30 when we finally fell a sleep. Despite 12:00pm checkout we was knackered. We payed £90 for the night. I wouldn’t recommend staying here and I’d advise to book yourself a room at the premier inn instead.

the room looked like it had last been updated in the 1970s. woodchip wallpaper and real poor quality wardrobe, as for the bathroom well let me just say the plumbing hadn't been updated since original install by the looks of things. Grubby with broken wooden panel under sink. Door handle hanging off. There is cheap accommodation and bad accommodation, this is definitely BAD!. the restaurant and bar was the complete opposite, money has obviously been spent on this ,rather than the updating the rooms. Greene King Inns you need to spend money on this Hotel, updating it as its a disgrace This was the worst place i have ever been too. So bad i booked into the premier inn just down the road. For about £10 more i booked into a premier inn for the night because i wasn't prepared for me and my wife to stay here.

Call in today for lunch during a walk on the Grantham Canal. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We were served promptly. We asked about food and were advised of the options. We chose to eat in the bar as we only wanted a light bite. We had a couple of ciabattas, both of which were hot and delicious. I couldn't manage all the chips. I would certainly recommend this pub for a lovely meal.

Nice clean rooms, comfy bed, towels in your room, you receive a text confirming all your details bfore you arrive, all you need for a short stay. Shame there's no coat hangers. It's a little too far to walk to the town centre but, would definitely stay here again, thank-you.

The last time we visited we left disappointed as this was one of our favourites. Anyway we thought we would try again and see if they have improved the service and quality of food. We had a great meal - scallop starters were amazing - I had the crab on toast which was fresh and lovely. The wife had a beef dinner which was really good - I had the bangers and mash simply delightful. Service has really improved too - my only gripe was we sat in the bar area next to the fire on the square table and the chairs are too wide for two people side by side - I had to sit with one knee under the table and one knee out bizarrely ! - keep at it guys and girls we will be coming back

Kirks kprner motel is based 1.5 Miles away from m181 and is a newly refurbished 7 bedroom motel each room is equiped with free wifi,en suite bathroom, kettle, iron, usb ports, freeveiw tv, free parking and also has a shared kitchen
We arrived expecting from the reviews that the rooms would be very poor. The room was clean modern and really warm and cosy. We bought our own tea and coffee as we k ew there was only a kettle but there's a mini market downstairs very reasonably priced. The room was exactly as the pics on booking.com at £63 for two nights definitely value for money. We would book again without hesitation.
