Pros-1- Rooms and bathroom were clean. 2. rooms are spacious with balcony. 3. sheets are clean. 4. small kitchenette is also there for long term stay. 5- mini fridge also provided. 6- very quite place. no hussle bussle of the city. 7- Good rooms in budget price. cons- there is nothing in cons but one thing that there is no phone in the room for need of 24/7. But Mr.Henry(the owner) is always available to help. He is very kind and supportive and down to earth person. and will suggest everything you want. anything you need just said to him. he can do very kindly. my husband was sick, mr. henry personally took us to hospital in the night. we were very happy by his service and concern. And also there is no in house restaurant but he can provide tea nd coffee which is well sufficient because there are so many restaurants just outside the hotel. Location- location is best. everything is nearby. restaurants, beaches,shops you can find nearby. or take scooter. in max. 20 mins you can go to famous baga beach, aguada fort, sequerim beach, calangute beach, chapora fort. all places are nearby. and anjuna beach,vagator beach is on walking distance. better to take scooter and roam everywhere you want. all places are nearby. Mr. henry can arrange scooter as well. Famous dosa restau. i.e. big dosa and beyond dosa are just outside of the hotel. Thank you. :) We will recommend this place to our family and friends and will surely come back.

Reviewed By vikas_choudhari2008It is in the remotest of places. On Google Maps it shows as 5 mins walking distance from Anjuna Beach. That was the reason for my booking. Parking is at a different place altogether. You will have to carry your luggage from a jungle track for a good 5 mins to reach the entrance of the hotel. By the way, you will not be able to see the hotel from the parking as you will have pass zig zag through houses to reach the gate. Filled in the register, provided the ID Proofs and paid the amount through Credit Card. Hold this thought for now. We will visit this thread at the end. When we reached, there was no electricity. The guide sheet mentions 'High Speed fan in case of no electricity'. Forget high, forget speed. Fan just spins as much that you can count the spots on the blades. Top of it, the regulator is broken. See the attached pictures. As per info, electricity was not there since morning. It returned within 2 hours after we checked-in the afternoon. There is no power backup for AC. The intercom does not work. So for any order you either go to the reception or call them on thier mobile. Remember the mobile network is non-existent. So you will def have to walkout each time. Bed had insects on it. Ants on the side table. Check the attached pictures. We requested for a cleanup. Bathroom has no latch and is just next to bed. It neither is soundproof nor closes enough to make you comfortable. No toiletries but there was this frog trying to make his way out of the bathroom. When we checked-in, we noticed the hotel owner arguing with a group. Apparently the bathroom glass was cracked before the group checked in. And it broke as soon as the female tried to use washroom. Owner was adamant to recover the full amount of the glass and the repair charges from this group. There were some heated discussion between the owner and the group. Something that made us uncomfortable. This was my first visit to Anjuna so thought the beach is what we should think of before judging. 5 mins walk from the beach shack. Yes it is, only if you are ok with walking through a jungle track. At night this 5 min road is pitch black, atleast when I came back from the beach shack. When we came back, the electricity was missing again and it was total darkness. If someone was standing infront of you, in the garden background, you wouldn't notice. We decided to check-out. We booked another hotel instantly. We raised a cancellation request through Booking.com. We were told by Booking.com that Curlies had denied full refund and we would have to pay for single night stay. That amount was worth checking out of the hotel. The checkout experience was even worse. The receptionist guy is the only one that knows the process. The owner requested us to wait till he returns. That guy returned in an hour during which time we sat in total darkness. The receptionist returned and I asked him to cancel our booking and for refund we had already raised it to Booking.com. He said that I do not have to do anything. We walked out through the pitch black dark jungle route to parking to get the cab. We checked out thinking that the worse was over. However, yesterday I found the amount was not refunded and upon investigating along with Booking.com, found that the Credit Card was swiped on a different POS machine at the hotel which is not in their name and now they are denying that I even paid. I have transaction details which does not have the hotel name in the narration. Booking.com is unable to help and have asked me to raise a dispute with the bank to get the machine details. Now i am entangled in this mess.

Reviewed By BlueMum15We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Sabinas Guest house at Salgao. Mr Anicetto and Pragati made us feel comfortable and tried their best to see that our needs were met. A hot water kettle in the room, if provided, would have been great. The guest house is 750 metres from Mae the Deus Church at Saligao and if one has a bike or car the beaches are not too far off.

Reviewed By ashujandialDuring our 2020 winter stay in Goa for more than a month, we decided to place ourselve with our family in De Aluizio located in Assagoa and is treat for the folks who enjoy outing for food, beaches and Cafe. The owner Shailesh has did very good job in managing this Portuguese style Villa which is huge and our favorite spots in this Villa were the sit out located near entry gate and the backyard which has nice sit-out areas. The rooms, dinning room and kitchen are very spacious and if ones wants to put up here for with friends and family then you have the right place to book for. Shailesh the owner is definitely doing his best by visiting or checking on how is the stay and for any smaller complaints was very quick in resolving the same. This place being located in the center offers you varied places to visit and everything seems to be in 5 to 10 km radius for us..Cafes like Baba Au Rhum, Jamun, Gunpowder etc. We owned a scooty to enjoy these places and enjoyed lovely winter morning and sunny drives across most of the places we visited. For folks planning to visit this place for work and if you are Airtel users then nobody would disturb you. :) The only thing if I have to ask Shailesh to change is to work on training his staff as the professionalism and neatness is missing in the kind of work they are doing. If this worked upon then Shailesh your ancestral property would be listed in must to visit very soon.

A lodge for Drivers.. Filthy
Reviewed By arshadb810Booked the highest category - deluxe room with balcony for 2 nights through GoIbibo, upon arrival they did not find my the booking. After 30-45 mins of argument they were able to retrieve my booking and got the room that added a big surprise. Pics shown online are completely misleading. The room was filthy and very dirty. Wires everywhere in balcony, cigarette buds, washroom in bad shape and towels with heavy stains. The balcony was towards the backside where staff go around making noise and nuisance. Upon request to change the room they said we need to pay RS 800 extra for another room which was of same size. Later at the reception I found that drivers are booking their rooms here for stay. To make it worse they lit garbage towards backside next morning and smoke started getting in the room which was intolerable and we checked out in a day. Go Ibibo didn’t help anyways despite complaining. Infact they closed the query without even resolving. A scam by go ibibo

The staff helped me when my scooter developed issues and sorted things out in no time. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking forward to Goan Beach vibes.
