My home away from home
Reviewed By OliviaKissKissKissThis is my first time to stay at Wanda realm, hotel is located in a newly developed area in Wuhu city, 30 mins away to Cherry automobile group by car, very easy to access bullet train station. Hotel manager told me that a urban rail transportation will be available very soon, gym is nice and all the staffs are very friendly, it felt like my home away from home.

Nice hotel in Wuhu
Reviewed By DorisLCYI was staying at DoubleTree by Hilton Wuhu for 1 night. I arrived late after work but the staff was very friendly. My room was upgraded which was very comfortable. There was a wide veriety of food for breakfast and the staff was very warm to take care of the guests. I did not have time to walk around the surroundings of the hotel which is sitting aside the river. I will stay at DoubleTree next time when I travel here definitely.

Very small room - perhaps fine by HK (or NYC) standards...
Reviewed By DaleYuzukiI was asked to stay here for family reasons - visiting Wuhu as my in-laws live here. This hotel I understand is owned by a Hong Kong conglomerate, and I did not expect a 270-degree round shower in the middle of the room, complete with a curtain for privacy. I can't imagine taking a shower while being on display, is this some kind of love-hotel import from Japan? A 'no smoking in this room' sign was placed right next to an ashtray and lighter, which I thought was also humorous. The bidet contraption in the bathroom had a light in it; my spouse told me she didn't bother with using it (although in Europe she was enthusiastic to them, frankly). It may have been due to the fact that the buttons and icons were tiny, and difficult to understand. The room was small - about NYC-size, with two double beds and not much room for the four of us (two young children were with us). Sink was outside the door of the bathroom, which is awkward. Decor was decidedly sort-of-European, that unique Chinese blend of kitsch that you really cannot find anywhere else. I was told there was a '24-hour all you can eat buffet' on the ground floor, and it was not a buffet but rather something like a 24-hour cafeteria. Not so great quality food, and while not expensive it wasn't exactly a bargain. Not recommended at all - plenty of small shops a few doors away with great food, fresher and less expensive, just not open at 2am. The service was rude to this 'laowai', as my language skills aren't so great (and Wuhu-hua tends to be very fast and the dialect not unlike standard Mandarin with a lot of garbled sounds). A few not-fun experiences in the elevator and with the cleaning staff. Was very happy to leave this hotel after our required two days - back to the Doubletree for us.

I have not stayed there but looked at the hotel from outside and viewed the lobby area. The signage was a lot less foreigner-friendly and I suspect the same goes for the hotel.

Value for money budget hotel with 4 star restaurant
Reviewed By InstantcalmerThis hotel is well-located near Zheshan Park and fairly close to the Food Street and the Shopping Malls. Now there is a new Yonghui Bravo supermarlet fairly close as well. One staff member spoke excellent English and made the check-in very smooth. The wi-fi was very good and the dual elevators function well. Now a word about the restaurant: excellent. It has very good food and exceptional service. I had slow cooked beef and potatoes with a gravy style sauce. 88rmb but worth it. In fact this is a better class of restaurant in general and even the included breakfast I had was very good. The room was good especially the bed and bathrrom. It was small but that was my choice to stay in a cheaper room for 1 night to try the hotel out as for ease in getting to the railway station. It was an easy 15rmb taxi ride. Jinjiang is a well-managed budget chain chain of hotels and I have often used their sites when travelling. It's like KFC or Maccas, you know almost exactly what you will get. Not much to dislike except the view from my window - 90% was the roof of the building next door. It least it had a window. Like most budget hotels you will hear if you have nosiy neighbours such as late arrivals or early leavers.

Reviewed By _martin_jarvisThe Tieshan Hotel in Wuhu is built in a wonderful parkland at the foot of a hill with a pagoda at its top, which makes the hotel unique in my experience of hotels in China or elsewhere. The hotel is split into a number of buildings, each with its own character. I understand that it was originally an official government hotel, but these days it operates commercially too. It has a sense of old fashioned Chinse luxury about it. The rooms are very well appointed, with a desktop computer provided, but there is also free Wifi too. The hotel is not aimed at non-Chinese speakers, so don't expect much English, but that is part of its charm. The staff are very welcoming and will try their best to accommodate your needs, but there is no in room dining menu. The hotel restaurant is an all Chinese experience, but the food is delicious.

Fantastic Hotel in the city, close to Riverfront, great view
Reviewed By Anant SExcellent location - fairly in the city yet slightly quiet area. It is situated right next to the canal that joins the Yangtze River. From the higher floors one can even see the Yangtze River, and the Zhongjiang Pagoda. There are enough eateries right outside the hotel, and some markets all around (although in Wuhu they all seem to close pretty early). It's worth taking a walk to the River front (barely 300-400 meters away, and very beautiful), if you have the time. The Hotel is well appointed, luxurious, with excellent Beds and amenities. The room was well equipped with Tea & Coffee sachets, Water Heater, Safety Locker (but somehow the lock of the locker did not work), Steam Irons and the regular works. Very spacious room (especially River facing ones had a great view). Very comfortable bed. The inclusive breakfast was great, and even had enough Vegetarian options, Western options, and overall excellent (we paid for it extra but a fairly nominal sum). Its easy to get a taxi right outside, but the hotel staff will even call one for you. Very easy check in and courteous staff.
