Lovely anniversary weekend

Starting with the views afforded over the valley to the ancient building itself, the ambience was great! We also felt very welcome by the team and the lovely owner of the place- they looked after us in every detail. Breakfast was very varied and dinner left us not wanting more but for wanting to try more of their delicious dishes the next evening! The wince cellar is also a nice place to take an aperitif. Lovely place, excellent hosts and scrumptious food- a place I'd like to visit again! Only minor drawback from a design point of view- bathrooms are super clean, as is the rest of the house, but could do with an update and better light. We loved it regardless, though.

Very disappointed
Reviewed By Roland SWe picked the Hotel Hubertus on a recommendation, decided to even book a suite as we wanted to stay a few nights so we opted for the additional space. Unfortunately, we experienced a rather disappointing stay. When we arrived, the young lady at the front desk did not really bother welcoming us nor did she explain any of the Hotel amenities. The room was ok, though we were very disappointed to see that “the suite” had only a side view of the mountains, it seems the smaller (significantly cheaper) rooms have a balcony with a much better view. The bed was comfortable but sofa was not, in fact it was rather uncomfortable indeed. We had booked the room with half-board, dinner was ok but really nothing to write home about. The waitresses seemed rather rushed, despite only having to wait on four or five tables. For example, they were super keen to set up for breakfast even though the guests were still having dinner. Breakfast itself was very disappointing. The bread appered not to be fresh and the selection was very limited. Boilt eggs were offered but when we asked about scrambled eggs or an omelette, the waiter said it’s in the making, needless to say, neither of those ever appeared. It seems a “Chef” was around, but he seemed super busy standing outside smoking and chatting. On the second day, they did not even bother to switch on the coffee machine in the breakfast area which added to the “stress” of the waiting staff. Unfortunately, the situation did not improve during our stay. None of the managers seemed to be around and nobody bothered to even ask about our stay when we checked out, again, very disappointing. I totally appreciate that our stay was in pre-season, but this really should not be any excuse. I will jow have to get back to the person who recommended the Hotel Hubertus and tell him not to recommend this place anymore as clearly, something must have changed since his last stay.

The location is super convenient because it is close (5-10min.) to the highway but far enough from it to be quiet with an amazing view on the mountains and valley. Perfect for a stopover or as a base to visit the surrounding areas. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The garden with swimming pool is great to relax and refresh with a beautiful view. The owner has a great positive personality and does his best to make your stay pleasant. Breakfast is plentiful and do ask for the freshly baked eggs because they are absolutely delicious. All in all, highly recommended!

The view is unbelievable, and photos don't do it justice! Would recommend a stay here without hesitation, and we are already thinking about when we will return. Vielen dank!!!

A good place to stay
Reviewed By AL273We stayed for one night on our way to Val Gardena. The receipt is very friendly and so is the service. The room is quiet big and spotless. The beds are good with typical Austrian covers. There is a pizzeria (Rustika) in the hotel which serves tasty pizzas. Breakfast was very extensive and good.

Awesome holiday at hotel Untertheimerhof!
Reviewed By Eva HWe went to this hotel when skiing in Val Gardena, I found it randomly on booking.com, as we were searching for an accomodation quite short in advance (2 months). We had 2 double bed rooms (2 couples). And we were more than pleased by everything in this hotel! The rooms were very clean, beds and average cleaning done every day, the staff were all very friendly and hearty. And the best of all - the food. Rich breakfast buffet with their own homemade bread and delicious five-course dinners. It was a gastronomy trip for us! It takes about 30 minutes by car to Alpe di Siusi, up to 45 minutes to St.Christina/Selva di Val Gardena (Sella Ronda). To sum it up - this hotel is higly recommended and we were not here for the last time!
