Reviewed By Jaroslav Tpros: Stayed here with my friend for a long weekend. We liked the overall cleanliness. Our suite room was spacious and nice designed. The suite also comes wit a huge bathroom incl. hot tub and hairdryer. There is a big flat TV in the room. The double bed was very comfortable even for a person like me (6,5 ft). We enjoyed the breakfast. It was nothing groundbreaking but good enough for a 3* hotel. And all fresh. All staff was extremely kind and helpful. Which is a big pros. cons: In our room 208 the hot tub was out of order. We have been told the guests don´t know how to use it and damaged it all time. So the hotel shut it off. I was a bit disappointed about it. There is a TV guide for the channels in the room. But you will find only Russian TV channels there. Some others were not available.

Nice hotel, with exceptionally kind and friendly staff
Reviewed By Simon GStayed here last weekend in what turned out to be very traumatic circumstances. We were a party of four but on our arrival day, late in the afternoon, one of the party died very suddenly. All the aftermath meant we didn't get to the hotel until the middle of the night. We wouldn't have been surprised to have found the place shut up but, no, one of the staff was up and gave us a kind and sympathetic welcome. That meant so much, as did the attitude of his colleague the following day. The rooms were nice although air conditioning would have been welcome; the breakfast was good and the evening meal we had was superb. The staff spoke excellent English. I'd love to stay here again, in happier circumstances.

AWFUL STAY....STAY AWAY
Reviewed By James SReception unmanned when needing to complain. Old and tired decor. Being ignored and not able to complain. Awful stay and even now a week on, problem not resolved. I stayed in room 24, very small room over 2 floors. Room 25 was occupied all night by noisy guests. RECEPTION UNMANNED TO COMPLAIN. and i got no sleep at all. Bear in mind the rooms are too close together and walls are paper thin! There is no way i would stay in this property again...Awful. I tried to call message and also email the place about my stay and am still ignored. VERY POOR PLACE...Please, do not believe the good reviews. Oh hold on, the breakfast was very good. WALLS BEING PAPER THIN and having to stay up all night and listen to next door antics!

Paid for a castle apprtment, got stuck with a pension room...
Reviewed By NatMat666We reserved an apartment with separate living room and air-conditioning in the hotel in August 2019 for a 3-day stay in Trenčin. Upon our arrival, a waiter (as a receptionist didn't speak much of English) explained, that our room wasn't available. He offered us a cup of coffee, until we wait, as they get another apartment, located 100m down the street in a pension, that was part of the hotel, ready. When I asked if the room was the same (so, apartment), he affirmed. We declined coffee and went out for a drink as we waited. When we came to the "apartment", we found out it was a suffocating, hot, damp room, with a small kitchen corner, and an additional thin mattress on the floor instead of an actual bed or pull-out sofa for our daughter. And of course, no air-conditioning... Naturally, I've returned the keys to the receptionist, who somehow managed to ask: "Problem?" As I've said, there is no air-conditioning and other things, she just took the keys and said: "No air-conditioning. OK. Bye" Although, the waiter was really kind, this was the worst experience for me, ever... Be careful reserving a room here...

Excellent food
Reviewed By L3MARAfter taking time to look through the extensive menu I chose the tempura chicken with fried potatoes. Which was very good. My girlfriend had the chilli chicken which I would order next time if I get the chance to visit this area again.

Brilliant value very good base for exploring
Reviewed By Simon HThe rooms are very good, clean and tidy. Martina the young cleaning lady was very helpful and spoke very good English. She made sure that we had everything we needed. We stayed for a week with no complaints. It is in a central location with view up to the castle, very close to the railway station. In addition to the list of amenities we had a hair dryer in the room. The parking is very easy just outside the door. Be aware there are no catering facilities on the premises, however there are numerous good restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk. The only negative point we had was that the shower holder was broken so you had to hold the shower by hand. As some others have put, reception is in the "casino" underneath which can be interesting as not all the staff speak English, but we managed and the paperwork was completed. You can feel traffic vibration/noise at times.

Reviewed By NatMat666We were here in August 2019, after a bad experience at another hotel. The apartment was spacious, nicely furnished, had all the accessories you could imagine. Kind staff, good breakfast. We will definitely return, when in Trenčin. Also, it had a secure parking.

Reviewed By Lenka2007Restaurant Giacomo is perfect place for dinig. Every time I come here, I enjoy my stay. The food is I think the best in Trencin, the waiters are helpful, friendly and they do their service fast. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
