Comfortable rural retreat in South Kerala
Reviewed By guiri2020We stayed for 4 nights in this superb homestay which is situated in a lovely spot about 1 hours journey from Trivandrum. The accommodation is of a very high standard - comfortable beds, air con, food available, good bathroom and terrace looking over a wonderful garden with a small lake. The family who run the place are delightful, very helpful and welcoming. There are walks you can take from the property into the surrounding hills, and with a well run elephant sanctuary nearby as well as delightful drives into the surrounding hills, there is plenty to do. We were there at the hotter season so we didn’t hike, but we enjoyed the shaded garden and short walks into the village nearby. This is a perfect stay if you come with your own car, but the hosts are very helpful in arranging transport if you need it. The breakfasts and evening meals are delicious with huge servings of typical Kerala specialities including lots of fruit and freshly prepared vegetables. We will definitely return as we had such a tranquil and comfortable stay after a few days in busy Trivandrum.

The food was yummy and delicious ? and lot of varieties were there to satisfy the taste buds. A special mention of Mr Akhil from the restaurant who took special care of all of us. Mr Manu Mathew from the restaurant was also quite helpful. The overall stay was quite enjoyable and memorable.

Was very impressed by the honesty of the cleaning staff in returning our forgotten items in the 3 rooms used by us. Room no. 501, 510 and 411. This was during our stay at The Hilton Garden Inn during our son Prateik's wedding time.

Anything I wanted, it was Perfectly & quickly done with a kind & smiley way. The chairman Mr. Baby Mathew is very generous & surprised me with a beautiful gift before I leave, the manager Ms. Chitra is a wonderful lady with quick decision to the guest’s benefits.the restaurant managers Mr. Kumar & Mr. Laneesh were so awesome. The GRP Ms. Sini was so friendly & beautifully feels like ur sister.. the medical team Dr. Chandrika, dr. Hima & dr. Rahul were so lovely & efficient. My Masseuts Soni & Sindu were very kind & well practiced.The reception Ms. priya & mr. Kumar were very nice & helpful. The Yoga coach Mr. Venor was simply incomparable with any other yoga trainer that I ever met. The reservation manager Mr. Krishner who perfectly arranged everything for me was very cooperative .Simply, It was an excellent experience that I would definitely repeat.

A short trip to Kovalam

Very seldom would you get a property which is spread in three parts and which gives you a landscape view as this one. You see the sea, a barren beach, a river(back water) and lush greenery lined by coconut tree. Yes it's a 15 years old property, but does it matter when it's well kept, have smiling and courteous staff and good food. When u sit at the balcony of superior king size room and it's raining, the view and experience is just mesmerizing. If you do not like much crowd, i dare say that this resort is much better than sitting at any beaches nearby. Vipin and Prabhu gives you very caring service when u cross the Killi river to the resturant. The beds have good hard mattress which makes your sleep comfortable, The bathtubs are big with hot and cold water. If you come to Kovalam, I think you will miss something if you dont stay here. The more you stay the more you love this place, the initial look might make you little thinking though.

Major advantage of the hotel is the easy access to city, Thampanoor bus-stand and Central Railway Station with in the radius of 3 Kms. We have an inventory of total 19 rooms with 4 room categories. We offer our guest 24 hours check in/check out time with 24 x 7 front desk assistance and complimentary WiFi in the reception area.

No toiletries supplied, not even a bar of soap Water supply is very weak in the showers Do not book if its not an AC room, unbearable heat The overall hygiene of the room is not up to the mark No Parking facility No shops within 300m radius of the building even though the place is quite accessible from the Thampanoor Bus stand All in all... Very unsatisfactory
