A great 4 star hotel offering great value for money with excellent services
Reviewed By KunnonnyWe as a frequent joint holiday trip group of 8 persons selected Alpin Royal for our June 2022 trip, as this 4 star superior hotel's offer appeared to be a good bet for value for money at very attractive price, based on comparison of descriptions we could find at several hotel websites. And what a great selection it turned out to be and how happy we were with our selection of the hotel! Friendly and very helpful staff, good quality food, spacious room with good quality room facilities, good wellness facilities and above all, the rare combination of all these at a very reasonable price. Together with the bonus of the highly attractive and enjoyable mountainous nature of the Ahrnthal. We had a thoroughly pleasant time at Alpin Royal. We really hope we will find another occasion to come back!

Fabulous hotel
Reviewed By Koen67Hotel that deserves each of its 5 stars. Great service, fantastic food, great room (we got an upgrade to a suite) and a very nice wellness and pool area. This is one of these hotels that one keeps remembering, and although we do not have the habit of returning to places where we have stayed, we may make an excepting for this one. If there is one remark I could make, it is that offering three coffee pads for your entire stay is a bit of a poor policy (you can receive more at 1,5 Euro per piece). But that is the only remark I can make ; the rest was really flawless. A nice plus was the tea + cake in the afternoon as part of the half board formula.

Not as good as expected
Reviewed By B7562FEroberttFor South Tyrol this hotel that wasn't up to the high standards of others in the region. The bedroom was in need of modernisation although the bathroom had been renovated. The pool area and sauna were good although more maintenance of the pool would have been useful. There was a smell of mould. The garden wasn't well maintained and furniture not cleaned. Food was acceptable and no more. The bar was not fully staffed all the time. In summary, no more than 3 stars and in need of investment.

Strange atmosphere and poor customer service in a lovely location
Reviewed By keivsWhat a location, this hotel is situated in a lovely village surrounded by mountains and a lovely river flowing through the centre. Arriving at the hotel around 6 ish, we were greeted by a voice behind us stating we were to wait 5 mins, while trying to check in we were requested by a lovely young lady to indicate our choices for dinner. There were 5 of us trying to check in and guests attempting to get information at the same time. After a quick shower we met for dinner in the restaurant only to be told I selected the carrot soup and not the dumplings, when I questioned this the rude lady in charge stormed off and produced a piece of paper claiming I had ticked the paper, this in front of the full restaurant. We sorted this out between ourselves and proceeded to have a laugh amongst ourselves only to get stern looks from my friend the lady in charge, one of my colleagues commented that perhaps laughter was not allowed as the whole restaurant was very quiet giving a strange atmosphere. The hotel was okay if a little dated and a very smelly toilet in my room, however the rooms were large and the price was good.

Nice family hotel
Reviewed By GogiKastavWe stayed at apartment house of this hotel. It is not high class hotel (***) but they are offering a decent swimming pool, sauna and infra-red cabin. Apartment we used are well equipped, although with the old furniture. The most important thing that everything is very clean. It is situated exactly 3 km from the bottom of the cable car. Strongly recommend!

Even nicer than expected
Reviewed By Martina HWe spend 3 beautiful days with the kids in this beautiful hotel. We were upgraded to a family room and it was very spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. The food is really amazing - good variety, big meals and the kind personnel always checking if you would like more to eat at dinner. We really appreciated and one or the reason for choosing the hotel is that they are kids friendly - with a playroom, kids meal, baby chair, elevator and a big plus is the free access to the swimming pools Cascades in Sand in Taufers. The only minus for me is that we live to far, otherwise I would book the holidays for next year.

great hotel for large groups
Reviewed By Marco RI have been there with my kids' school for a ski vacation and it was more then 160 of us. That's all this hotel does, which is catering for large groups, and they do it right The hotel in progressively renovating the rooms and the barthrooms so make sure you get one of the renovated ones and if do, you will be super happy Also be aware that they have a detached branch of their hotel right in front of the skylifts of the Speikboden resort so while it might be preferable for some, it might not be so for others since breakfast and dinner are only served at the main location (I have no idea about the hotel decor at the branch) At the main location the rooms are not large but they comfortable There is a garden in the back with a soccer/basketball field, an indoor playroom, a good bar, the staff is very kind and attentive, the food is good and with a decent selection The rooms have no TV since they do promote outdoor activities rather than TV watching but I understood they do have a few they can provide upon request. Internet is provided only Wifi and only in the common areas, for a fee You are within minutes by car from the Speikboden sky resort which is super well maintaned althought doesn't offer too many slopes, and it has snow until April. All in all I loved the place and I will definitely go back next year
