Reviewed By Kate BWe only spent 1 night here at the beginning of our cycling holiday in Tuscany & found the farmhouse to be a lovely way to start our trip. Maria was very welcoming & hospitable throughout our stay. Even though there was an enormous language barrier (google translate app was needed at all time!) it didn't matter & we were provided with a delicious evening meal & a hearty breakfast. The bed was comfortable & the bathroom was clean. We probably wouldn't want to stay here for more than 2 nights as it's very remote (& a little hard to find) but it was good for what we needed & Maria was so charming.

"farmhouse" with style
Reviewed By Rod LA modern upgraded "farmhouse" located 12 klm outside of Prata and the surrounding factories. A great stop if on business in the area due to proximity (with a car) to restaurants Prato & 45 minutes into Florence. Modern in every way, friendly helpful team and a great pool and cabana if you visit summertime. Nice restaurant with modern Italian options. Only negatives: no English News channels and no laundry. Recommended.

Reviewed By Omni4This is a beautiful property with a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. The property is updated, the room was comfortable, and the setting was very peaceful. At first, it seems like a beautiful villa hotel. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely welcoming and polite. He was available throughout our stay and always courteous. The setting was lovely, but location-wise, the property is 1-2 hours away from anything you would want to come see in Tuscany. The reason for the 2-star is the utter lack of privacy and what I felt was misleading about calling this "agriturismo." This is more in line with a British B&B in that you're basically renting a room in someone's home. While it may sound "charming" to have the entire family constantly around, it means you cannot do anything without being watched very closely. Whether you use the pool, go upstairs, come downstairs, go in, go out, you're being watched very closely and you have no privacy whatsoever to enjoy your time without being watched. And if you have a mixed race family, like I do, you will be watched extra closely. If you leave your room at lunchtime, you will feel like you just ruined lunch for the entire family because the family eats in the lobby. Again, it may sound charming at first but after you see the few annoyed faces looking at you, it won't be charming anymore. On one evening we were determined to sit outside and enjoy a drink with the stunning view: we were out of luck. The family had rented the entire patio to a party and we were prisoners in our own room. Leaving or coming in the middle of the party was met with very annoyed glances. My family was hungry and I tried to bring some food in the room. I was told eating in the room is not allowed. Therefore, you cannot eat in the room, you cannot use the patio, you cannot leave the room without annoyed glances. Definitely not what I paid 200 dollars per night for.

Poggio desto is located on the slopes of Montalbano, in the small country village of Montemagno. From here the natural landscape is country-side where the towns of Pistoia, Prato and Florence can be recognized. The original building wos a 18th century house as an inscription on a chestnut wood beam. The restoration was done trying to save the traditional structure. The house is surrounded by typical tuscan countryside : olive trees, cypress trees , vineyards.

Reviewed By EstherBloemenWe had an amazing station at the poggio desto. Hosts domenica and lorella work very hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast is fantastic. Great cappuchino and we got boiled eggs when requested. Room was very spacious and clean. There is a lovely pool with an amazing view on quarrata below. We loved everything about it. Also the restaurant which has nothing to do with the b&b. They are different people who open at weekends and during the week at your request. Great food, fresh locale ingredients.

Very lovely place with inside parking, big nice well tended courtyard with direct access to the room and amazed sights to the mountains. Room is very comfort living, clean with new furnishing. Breakfast is rich with meat, cheese, sweet pie, muesli etc etc Owner is very guest friendly and thoughtful young man. Thank you Marco for all your energy to make me feel like at home!! Very hope to see you soon!!!

Wonderful family friendly apartment hotel
Reviewed By gwodanWe were 2 families (4 adults and 2 children). We Had two apartments across from eachother (Melograno and corbezzolo). The apartments are Well equiped ( knives are very blunt. Good idea to bring a pocket knife with you). The apartments were generally clean however the fridge needed cleaning and the floors were very dusty (corners and under beds). Beds are comfortable. The hotel has A fantastic view and A huge balcony for everyone to use. The pool area is lovely and family friendly. There is parking at the hotel. You Will need A car for every trip to town as the roads are very steep. Quarrata (the nearest town) is practical for shopping food (Simply - small, Pam - very Nice well sorted food store). The town is not very interesting but has Nice ice cream shops. Finally, the hosts, Lorenzo and Daniella are very friendly and we Can definently recommend the organized trip to their winery where Lorenzo explains, very passionately, about making Wine and Oil. The dinner afterwards was fantastic!!! For only 20 euro Per adult and 10 Per child we Got lots of different bruschetta (prepaired by Lorenzo's mother), A pasta dish and biscotti (all made from the families own locally grown ingrediens ) and we Got to taste all the products available for purchase. Fantastic evening!!!

Reviewed By CLAUDIO LBellissima struttura immersa nel verde. Un oasi naturale. La struttura è stata recentemente ristrutturata è dotata di ogni Confort. Pulitissima. Accessibile anche per chi non è deambulante tramite ascensore. Oasi di pace per bambini ed ottima sistemazione per chi ha per al seguito. Personale molto gentile ed accogliente. La notte si dorme serenissimi nel massimo silenzio. Vasto parcheggio. Pistoia Firenze Pisa e Lucca facilmente raggiungibili in auto. Autobus di linea a a pochi minuti collegante con Firenze. Consiglio vivamente a chi vuole fare un escursione delle bellissime città d'arte rimanendo nella natura ed in tranquillità
