Cockroaches EVERYWHERE
Reviewed By christost543The truth is that we booked this accommodation for 2 nights just before the 15th of August. It seemed a bit expensive at 128 euros per night but we said that it will be worth the money. We arrived, all seemed perfect. We had read some reviews in Booking that mentioned cockroaches but this was about the 2 downstairs apartments, so we that were staying upstairs thought we were okay. The night just before we entered the room we found a dead cockroach. This would not be a problem but when we entered the room, we saw another cockroach alive running on the bed, on the sheets that we would sleep. After a few minutes and after I managed to kill her, next to the bed, from a piece of the wall that had swelled, I saw two cockroach antennas coming out. The result; We stayed up all night to watch out in case the cockroach came out and in the morning we left asap. When you ask for 128 euros per night and call your accommodation luxurious (Luxury Lodge) this is not allowed. Of course, they did not return anything as an apology for all the suffering. FYI. The next day we found a hotel with 85 euros per night, with breakfast and WITHOUT KATSARIDES. Think again before you book it.

Lovely hotel in Methoni
Reviewed By 288eliasfVery clean room with balcony, comfortable for my stay in Methoni. Andrea is a wonderful hostess, welcoming, and prepared a very nice breakfast with a personal touch. Enjoyed the beach which was walking distance, the great restaurants, and my visit to the fortress. Everything was a short walk away from this classy hotel.

Reviewed By SBS78The hotel is charming. Our room was beautiful and it overhung the water. The staff was helpful in organizing a boat trip for us. Mr Spiro's breakfasts were delicious There was much variety and the eggs were excellent. The hotel has many lovely areas where one can relax. Being right on the ocean is amazing. We were so happy with out stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great spacious room with beautiful shower
Reviewed By Kees1966Doing a tour of Greece using 2 and 3 star hotels. Karalis is by far the best I have seen during this tour. Nice, modern and spacious room. Very nice bathroom with lots of space, walk-in rain shower, beds are good, struggling to find any fault while going through the room. Maybe the shower curtain should be replaced by a door to make it perfect.

Excellent choice in Pylos - great view, great breakfast
Reviewed By 9amberzephyrHotel Philip is nicely situated at the edge of town (which is still very walkable) with stunning views of the Bay of Navarino. The breakfast included is excellent. We had dinner twice in the restaurant - both dinners were delicious, and there is very good house wine. Our room was spacious and clean, and our room's terrace overlooking the bay was fabulous. Hosts, especially owner Evangelia, were warm without hovering. Tips for the traveler: the hotel reception areas (there are two) may not be staffed as the hotel is not that large. The restaurant is the place to go to find someone in charge if there is no one at reception. Do not be intimidated because the hotel is on the main road. It should not impact your experience in your room or your view as the hotel is quite high above it.

Pleasant stay, great view from the balcony
Reviewed By Xris_24All in all a pleasant stay. The rooms are nice but nothing spectacular with regards to the decoration, but the view from the balcony is amazing. An undistrurbed view of the sea, since the hotel is located accross the street from the sea. The location of the hotel is very good, small walking distance to the center of Pylos and with many tavers to choose from nearby. The hotel also has a big parking space next to it. The breakfast was very good and with a lot to choose from. SInce our stay was in August of 2020, i was very happily surprised to see how well the breakfast was served taking into account distances and masks. The staff of the hotel gave you what you asked for in your plate meaning that food was not exposed to everyone who came for breakfast. It felt safe to have breakfast there, especially in the outdoor area. The only negative thing was that, since there is a street right in front of the hotel, in some nights we could clearly hear people talking while passing by even quite late in the night. But apart from that we were pleased with everything else and would stay there again.

The view from the balcony is wonderful and it just a few minutes walk from the beach. The bed is big and confortable, and the room was cleaned very well. The only downside: its location directly at the main road, so it was quite noisy sometimes (not much traffic, but loud cars and motorcycles).

Reviewed By Max PSitting right on the plateia in Pylos, the Galaxy has views of the bay and the town. It's right on the road through to Methoni and the plateia is buzzing until late at night, so be cautious if you want peace and quiet. But if you want to be where the people are, with all the cafes and restaurants downstairs then this is perfect.
