Reviewed By Peter HWe arrived by car, after a long and tiring drive from Iguazu Falls. Our accommodation in the town of Iguazu had been very basic, to be polite, so imagine our surprise when we arrived at the Condado Hotel in Santo Tome! From the moment we arrived, we were treated in a most friendly and efficient way, by all the staff we dealt with. Our room was very clean and spacious and the food we tasted was all very fresh and well prepared. We intended to stay only overnight, but we ended up treating ourselves to a three night stay. The most enjoyable and affordable mini-holiday we've had in years.

La Alondra, Casa de Huespedes, is born from an antique house, with history and style. A place of luxury, cozi, warm, that not only offers a refuge for those who travel the world but for those who live in the city of Corrientes as well. Its location is ideal, with easy access from Corrientes and Resistencia airports, a few blocks away from the historical downtown area in Corrientes. Its best kept secret is the garden, a green space filled with trees that offer peace and quiete for guest to relax .
Lovely old house
Reviewed By buitenverwachtingLa Alondra is based around an old town house close to the City centre yet quiet and restful; it's quirky, with photos of the old family on the walls, with a very personal service. It offers a set of rooms clustered around a small swimming pool surrounded by mango trees and also some further rooms round the corner. Mine - the latter - was well appointed with comfortable bed, clean and smart bathroom but a little dark as it was quite deep with only a small window. Fine for a night but would not have been very bright during the day. There is also a small gym and a comfortable lounge. Dinner was good in a smart bar/restaurant with lots of local produce and wines (as well as my favourite Argentinian appetiser, the rarely available Hesperidina). There is a massive garage. The hotel abuts an attractive residential district and is some 15 minutes walk to the beach and the City centre. Definitely recommended.

Clean room with small kitchen
Reviewed By 1HungryPeggyWe had 3 nights in Corrientes on our way to Salta. I wanted to be near a particular museum which was unfortunately closed. The room was very clean and much larger than the room we stayed in on our last trip though here. The bed was comfortable and the mini kitchen had a microwave and refrigerator and a few utensils so I could heat up leftovers from the nearby restaurants. The included breakfast was nothing special but I am very difficult to please when it comes to breakfast. The cafe Martinez around the corner has better coffee. It is a short walk to the river which has a promenade to walk along. I walked there in the morning and felt very safe. We didn’t find a lot of restaurants in the evening (probably because we looked too early) but Cafe Cristobal about 2 blocks away had very good pasta and a full bar. We had lunch at a very good place a couple of blocks towards the square - I forget the name but will post it later. Tomorrow we have a late afternoon bus so we will see how that goes. They said they will be able to watch our bags

Excellent place for photography and bird watching. A place where it's easy to feel at home.

Reviewed By canbirdLovely spot! Small boutique hotel with friendly staff and good food. Our room was great with a lovely view and the whole place was relaxing and well run. All activities (including airport pick up and drop off) are included. We didn’t need this as we had a guide and driver with us but people we met said it was great. We would definitely stay again.
