Fab spa hotel with lap pool & excellent breakfast buffet
Reviewed By WalterL699To my mind, this is a spa hotel so I'm not sure why they call it a B&B. I guess it's because the restaurant is 50 metres up the road, so not physically connected to the hotel. In any event, it's wonderful. Parcines is a small village; very quiet and peaceful place to stay. The sauna and steamroom are large and modern with an even bigger relaxation area. There are two pools (one large, one small); the large one is long but not deep and filled with salted water so makes for an excellent lap pool. We had a room in the older part of the hotel, which suited us just fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. We paid EUR195 per night, which we felt was good value for money given the quality, location, views and amenities. An upgrade into the newer building (more modern, larger baths & balconies etc) would've cost EUR250 per night; probably worth it as well, if that's not too dear for you. The breakfast buffet was delicious and hugely varied. The owner's nearby restaurant was of an equally high standard and did wonderful pizzas. There are other places in the village to get a drink and the bus into Merano was super easy and also worthwhile. All in all, it's a super destination for 3-5 nights (lots of walking in the mountains) and we would highly recommend it.

Reviewed By jandc8491My wife and I stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Hanswirt with 6 other family members. Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel. Our room, number 306, was spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is that the bed comforter was very thick, and it became too hot to sleep underneath at night in early September. We didn't open the windows because of concern about mosquitos getting into the room. We had an outside balcony overlooking the swimming pool area. The restaurant served a variety of tasty food. he breakfast buffet was extensive. The swimming pool contained a jetted area with bench seats. The water was cool. Inside in the spa area were showers, a plunge "tub", two saunas, a steam room, and a jacuzzi with cool water; clothing was optional. You could walk down the hallway and look into one of the larger saunas through a clear glass window. My wife and I got massages; the touch was light, not as firm as most massages we get. The hotel was centrally located for exploring the region (hiking, visiting wineries and apple orchards, and seeing Ötzi the Iceman at the Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano). We liked the fact that we were in (northern) Italy, while speaking German, and enjoying Austrian cuisine. The hotel was very helpful with coordinating visits and arranging a driver to take us to different places in the area. The hotel also found local guides, who were excellent.

The waitress Eva was so sweet and courteous, the wine she suggested was a delicious Cabernet Merlot. The food was a mixture of goosebumps and excitement, especially for me that I never had the pleasure to taste the Süd Tirol cuisine. We ordered the Canederli and the Gröstl and for dessert we had the Strudel and the Parfait with gingerbread if it was for me I would have never stop eating. I am really happy to had the chance to discover this gem of the mountains and the owner a great woman that kept throughout the years the authenticity of the traditions. Thank you I will definitely come back to visit and definitely stay for more than a dinner.

In this cold summer 2014, it was indeed helpful to have a daily mini club keeping busy our elder 3 year-old daughter and additionally the indoor swimming pool. Wonderful breakfast, with big variety of food for every taste. The only small weakness: no restaurant. Anyway, really recommended.

Camera molto spaziosa e con balcone (moquette e letto non comodissimo, ma enorme vano doccia), con apprezzabile livello di pulizia. Colazione di livello molto qualitativo, nella tradizione sudtirol.I gestori di sono prodigati per risolverci (con successo) un contrattempo di medio livello, indipendente da loro.
