We saw the restaurant and stopped to have lunch. We were really glad that we did. The restaurant did not look special but the service and the food certainly was. It was a great meal at a reasonable price and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We have no hesitations in recommending it.

Relais Il Mignano

« Relais Il Mignano » is a luxurious medieval palazzo located in the old town centre of Nardò. Its name comes from the magnificent balcony (mignano) situated above the principal sculpted portal. The mignano allowed the women living in the palazzo to attend the processions without being seen. In the Middle Age, noble families also used it to exhibit their beautiful fabrics showing their richness and power. Located next to the Acquaviva’s Aragonese Castle (XV century) and to the botanical garden , at only 3 kms from the sea, the nice resorts and to Porto Selvaggio National Park, on a territory full of history (old villas in Moorish style, masserias, Norman towers), Relais Il Mignano is a good compromise for holidays made of culture, nature and relax. Recently restored, it welcomes you in a refined and elegant setting, with high comfort. Its terraces make you enjoy a unique panorama of the roofs of the town and baroque churches, while tasting a glass of local wine.

The Relais Monastero Santa Teresa, a historical monument, is a Baronial Palace of the 13th century, which was converted into a cloistered Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites in 1600 following the donation of Baron Sambiasi to the church. amazing value for money

This was the most beautiful/luxurious room I have stayed in during my trip through Puglia and at the same time it was the one for which I had to pay the least. The owner is a very friendly guy who really enjoys to help you. Also the courtyard was very nice as it has some tables and chairs surrounded by palm trees. A great atmosphere to drink a bottle of wine which you can buy at a nearby supermarket.

We've spent a extraordinary couple of days at the Masseria Corsano. The hotel is very modern in its design and there could not be more comfort we could have wished for. The restaurant respectively the cuisine is also in a top standard and we loved the Italian food. The friendliness and great hospitality would also be another reason for us to come back and recommend to all travellers coming to the southern part of Puglia. Although there is not much around the Masseria itself, it is perfect for an relaxing stay and exploring the region.
