Worst hotel stay I’ve had in years
Reviewed By whichwayswestI booked this hotel through Booking.com and for some reason they have disallowed reviews on the site - likely due to their poor facilities and fear of (deserved) bad reviews. The only reason they get two stars instead of one is because we were able to sleep in the beds, as they were passable. However, the shower stank and was so gross we did not use it even after a long travel day - it smelled of mould and fungus. Service is poor, you are left standing in front of reception for many minutes despite being the only people there before anyone acknowledges your presence or helps you out at all. The town of Mersing is also pretty lack lustre and the only reason to go here is to get to Tioman Island, but if you can avoid staying overnight I would do so as Mersing has bad; over priced food and a rubbish filled, dying ocean.

Reviewed By Claudia_123468We stayed in this hotel just for one night. Is is simple but absolutely OK for a short stay. Outstanding was the friendliness of the manager and staff. He picked us up from the bus stop and even drove us to a self washing laundry and from there back to the hotel. Thanks so much!

A basic hotel, suitable for those who just need rest before heading to Tioman Island
Reviewed By af100818A super basic budget hotel that’s suitable for just catching some Zs. The rooms are small but decently clean. Had a number of insects in my room. Don’t expect luxury. The only major turnoff is the noise. You can literally hear your neighbours’ shower running, every squeak of their bed, item falling on the floor, door opening and closing. And when I say neighbour I mean everybody on your floor. Sometimes the cars on the road are pretty loud too. If you’re a light sleeper, this is NOT the place for you. Steep staircase, no lifts/elevators. No complimentary water. Aside from that, hotel offers free transport to and from Mersing jetty for those going to Tioman which is very convenient. Overnight parking is RM8/day compared to RM15/day at the jetty so it’s quite worth it.

Lousiest resort ever
Reviewed By ShagDillThis resort does not deserve to be called a resort. Everything is poor. From the room itself,broken walls,broken ceilings,a/c not working,very poor amenities,cups and glasses given seems to me they have never washed. Overly priced for a lousy resort.Highly not recommended. Better go to a budget hotel which is new and much more cheaper.

Reviewed By kenyalangsThis place is acceptable only when you plan to stay for a day waiting for the ferry , as the location is good because it is near the jetty . It is located beside a mamak restaurant with WiFi so you will never go hungry . There is also a few convenient stores like 7 Eleven and a mart only a few steps away and a Public Bank ATM also a laundry right in front of the hotel . You can also go for a stroll or simply a smoke break at the back of the hotel since it was located by the river . It wasn't the most terrible stay WiFi connection was on and off we couldn't get a proper connection . Receptionist should be more helpful and smile more . Our room was below average to be very honest although it is spacious . Bed sheets , pillow case and blankets were smelly and uncomfortable . The towels were low quality and I meant the ones that does not absorb water and leaves fabric stains on you . There is no water filter and our room wasn't soundproof enough to be able to hear chit chats from people outside , which effected our sleep too . Please improve

Good for a nite before leaving for Tioman
Reviewed By FonglinLocation is good though it was a bit difficult to find the hotel as it is on a road off the main road and the signboard was not so conspicous. Shops and eateries are nearby and public parking is just in front of the hotel. Jetty was just a few minutes away. Room was very basic but good for a nite's rest. The bed was comfortable. The washing sink was a bit dirty and a good scrub would have gotten rid of the moss around the sink which put me off the minute I opened the bathroom door. The windows of the bathroom was tinted but translucent and there was no curtains. And if you take the higher floor, you have to walk up as there is no lift. Overall, good for the price we were paying

Newly built Bungalow Homestay

It was good ??his place was big , room was spacious and clean .. we get to parked our car here while we were holidaying at Tioman island which was great , he fetched me and my family to Mersing Jetty Vice versa . His home was only 5 minutes drive to the Jetty to take ferry !

The Worst Hotel I ever stay
Reviewed By hkh7811I was stay in Hotel Seri Malaysia Mersing for one night (3 June 2022) with my Family. We drove from Kuala Lumpur around 6:30pm and arrived in Mersing 1:00am. Checked in into Hotel Seri Malaysia (Booked) immediately. When I step into the room given, there are bad smell in the room and the ceiling and the wall are dirty. Mattress and Pillow cases are dirty and smelly. Toilet not well maintained, dirty too..... Conclusion is I WILL NOT CHOOSE TO STAY ANY HOTEL SERI MALAYSIA IN MALAYSIA IN FUTURE !!
