Great staff and location
Reviewed By Gareth SI thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Merida, Mexico and the Fiesta Americana is located in central area of city, so could walk to certain places or always had cab readily available. I was there for 4 days and staff was super friendly even tho I don't know any Spanish, luckily my daughter is fluent so that made it easier, I recommend if traveling to the area for buisness or pleasure..

Reviewed By asfirothI stayed at this hotel during end of year holidays, Dec 4th - 26th, and it was the best decision. My room was impecable, all in order towels, iron, safe, HUGE closet and working desk. Nice attention at the restaurant/bar, everyone tries its best to make you feel comfortable. When you get there ask for Mr. Ángel Castillo and please follow his recommendations either for where to go or where to eat, no chance of of regrets. I'm sure I'll be going back.

My main purpose of booking hotel was because it stated coin laundry, and I wanted to wash my clothing the way I am used to. Before check out the next morning, I went to front desk and inquired about where was laundry room. I was told by clerk that it was not available that day. I advised her that my only purpose of staying at the hotel was because of the coin laundry they advertised. She got on her computer and stated she would find me one. I advised her that I knew about other coin laundry, but I booked hotel to be able to do laundry. She made a few phone calls, asked me how much laundry I had. I told her 3 bags. It was my daughter and my laundry. She continued to talk on phone. She then stated she could have my laundry done and back by 5pm. I advised her that that’s way past check out. She continued on phone. After hanging up, She handed me a ‘laundry form’ and asked me to fill it out and give her clothes within 15 minutes. I decided to just give her ‘a few items’, and returned her the form and clothing. At 12 noon check out time, I advised her I was sitting in lobby. She acknowledged. Around 1 pm, a housekeeper came and gave her a bag, and she advised me my clothes was ready. I took them and said thank you. She then stated that I needed to pay her. After attempting to charge me $90 usd, my card originally declined and manager was called when i complained and explained situation. Called a friend on phone who spoke with manager about situation. I was then told that manager stated he would discount, because of the misunderstanding. Total $80 USD for 25 pieces of clothing. I was advised by friend to pay it. When I gave them my card again, I was charged, I advised them that I would be reporting the situation. They proceeded to write down my credit card number. I asked why? But no response. Manager then proceeded to go outside, and talk on his phone, at the end of the parking lot, for about 15-20 minutes.

Cheap clean mid range hotel

We thought it wouldn’t be too bad staying out of town but you can’t rely on ubers - the front desk can order taxis to be booked for a certain time and this was most reliable Option - it was also sometimes hard to get a taxi back from town. The breakfast is not great a tasteless and cold they have about 5 hot options but don’t book here for the breakfast.

Reviewed By 813gilfNever stayed at a place that dates back to the 1800’s. The room, small by today’s standards, was on the top floor facing the small park in the middle of everything. Located just a block from Plaza Grande was in proximity to many shops, restaurants, museums and sights to see. The free parking was located about a block or so away and worked out fine. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beautifully decorated and truly unique. I hope to return one day.

Reviewed By Kelvin KMy wife and I enjoyed our quiet stay at Hotel Hacienda Merida. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The morning breakfast was delicious. The historic hacienda, constructed in 1840, was beautiful. Our king room was AC cooled and clean. There is a pool on the property. Free secure parking is available. The mattress in our room was more firm than we would have preferred. This is an ideal location in Centro close to everything one would like to see when visiting Centro and within Walking distance. All in all, we were very glad we chose Hotel Hacienda Merida. We would definately return.

Reviewed By Allen BVery comfortable hotel with Management that goes above and beyond to please. I misplaced my Tablet and they helped me locate it where I had left it at another hotel. They made phone calls for me in Spanish to assist me. The Cafeteria worker, Carlos is very attentive, always greets me by name and made sure my needs were met. I highly recommend this Wyndham.
