Naturalis Bio Resort & Spa

Exclusive Masseria in the heart of Salento in Puglia, in a 18th-century farming village. Naturalis Bio Resort & Spa is a natural paradise surrounded by more than 18 hectars of bio diversity and by typical drystone walls. It is protected by majestic century-old olive trees. In 2012 the old farming village was transformed into a charming Resort, thanks to a careful and detailed renovation, not a simply restoration, but a real philological action of bio-architecture, made with love, to enhance the original and typical structures of the Salentinian tradition.

An Oasis of Peace and Beauty Immersed In Nature

Reviewed By virginiav2311

This place is a dream! My husband and I (and our doggy) spent one night in this "agriturismo": a former farm turned into boutique hotel. The reception area used to be the landlord house, while the rooms used to host the farmers. Everything has been restored in style, so it truly feels like an immersive throwback to another era. The rooms are gorgeous: amazing vintage and antique furniture combined with a jacuzzi with chromotherapy, right in front of the bed. We also had a lovely private patio. The peculiarity of an "agriturismo" is that the majority of food and products are produced in site. We tasted delicious oil, wine, honey, fruit, veggies, marmelades, bread, and lots of herbs - such as aloe, lavander, rosemary, thyme, sage, and more, all grown (with love!) in the beautiful land that surrounds the rooms. Naturalis is also a cosmetics brand: they make fantastic aloe and essential oils-based cosmetics. I appreciated the samples package that was gifted to us at check-out, but I also bought a couple of anti-age creams, which are great! The staff is super professional, on point, kind, and very welcoming. Everyone is also very knowledgeable of every aspect of the property and the business. The rooms are super clean and well curated. There's also a pool, an outdoor bar and dining area, and a spa. I've got an holistic massage that was so good I pretty much fell asleep at the end! One night is definitely not enough! This is a place where I think you should spend at least 3 nights to really enjoy the beauty, the tranquility and the services it offers. Naturalis Bio Resort is also a good location to be based at, while doing daily trips around the Salento area of Puglia. Super recommended!

Unique, wonderful, superb

We were amazed when we arrived... What an amazing place! I've never been anywhere like it! It is like arriving (for an English person) in another world. Borgoterra is a former convent in a narrow traditional Italian street in the old part of Martano. Each "room" is in fact a suite - we had a bedroom, living room, kitchenette and en-suite shower room / toilet. We also had a lovely little terrace on which to sit out. Beautifully furnished with heavy drapes, dark furniture, a very wonderful feel! I must respectfully disagree most strongly with another recent review only giving two stars: We too were in the Monaco suite which that reviewer stayed in, and although occasionally we could hear conversation from next door (because the two suites can be hired as one, and a linking door opened in such eventualities) this was only occasionally and was not disruptive in any way. Also, the breakfast was superb - an array of cakes, breads, Italian breakfast delicacies (different each day), fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, home made jam, coffee, tea, water, fruit juice - we thought it was wonderful, as well as being in a truly lovely room. Thank you to the wonderful staff. We thought this place was wonderful and unique and recommend it without hesitation.

Love at first sight

La Bon Vivant d'Ecosse and my darling wife had an amazing stay in this residence of utter joy. The house is just incredibly beautiful with its lavender borders, prickly pears and pomegranate trees. The rooms invelope you in the textiles of comfort and clean modern design. Remember to bring your swim wear because the pool will just be too inviting to resist. This is a great location for dipping your cultural senses in and out of nearby Lecce. If direct flights from beautiful Scotland were a thing, we would have found our get-away-from-it-all holiday accommodation at this masseria. Lots of love from Scotland

Che dire, veramente il top in tutto e per tutto!

B&B Martius

In the very heart of Salento Martiusi farmhouse is a B&B in South Apulia in the heart of Grecìa, between the pure Adriatic and Ionian seas, a land known for its traditions and culture and where the old grika language has left important signs. Martano is considered to be the capital city of Grecìa and there still are evidences of Greek-Byzantine culture and grikoi, a dialect similar to ancient Greek language, is spoken even now and has left its signs in surnames and in city districts’ names!!It is charming to visit the old town, to admire the old palaces, the Castle (there are ruins of the main door and of an ancient moat dating back to the end of 300 A.D.), the courtyard houses, the hypogean oil-mills and the wonderful churches!

Great Apartment

Reviewed By Matitx

We stayed one week in the two bedroom apartment; it was wonderful! Everything was very clean, the kitchen well equipped, good WIFI service, and a perfect location for exploring the southern part of Puglia. Also, a big bonus was the large parking area across the street (except Tuesday mornings when the weekly market is there, but on street parking was very available and easy.) The owners were very helpful and we would recommend staying here and enjoying a delightful small town and a beautiful and interesting area of Italy.

Tutt'intorno il verde della campagna salentina "bagnata" dal sole abbacinante.
