WE WALKED OUT

Reviewed By Vickylee121105

The worse place I have been to. I could not say stayed at as we walked out and booked elsewhere. In dire need of renovation. Unkempt drive down, fence falling over, nettled in the parking area, plaster over reception area floor, damp smell, room atrocious, several spiders and webs in room to welcome us, dodgy electrical equipment, tiles coming lose, bedroom carpet not hoovered, window seat with no cushion, mouldy wardrobe, filthy cups, furniture. There really are no words to describe it. Now I’m fighting for a refund! Think environmental health need to pay a visit.

Relaxing stay in a lovely setting

Reviewed By 809kj

Glebe Farm is in a remote location with lovely countryside views. We stayed for four nights in Apartment 3. It was very clean and well-equipped, and bedding and towels were provided. The apartment has a sofa, a table and four chairs, and a kitchen area with a hob and combi microwave-grill but no oven. The bathroom is modern with a powerful shower in a huge shower cubicle. There is ample parking next to the apartments and plenty of space for a picnic or walk around the lake. There is no food available onsite, but nearby Wragby has several takeaways, pubs and and a large Co-op. Glebe Farm is COVID-secure - hand sanitiser is provided in each apartment and the communal kitchen was closed. We really enjoyed our stay at Glebe Farm and hope to return one day.

Poor customer service and shabby room

Reviewed By AlisonD460

Greeted at bar check in with “name”, no hello or other welcome. Room clean but shabby with mattress that almost sunk to the floor. Bathroom radiator shade of rust orange rather than original white. Breakfast another ball game altogether. Devoid of any staff for first 10 mins: we arrived at 8.25 for pre booked 8.30 slot. Had also been asked to make breakfast choice at check in, ordered 2 full English. Made tea from urn, milk jugs empty. Female member of staff appeared eventually and without speaking took empty milk jugs returning with them 5 mins later; still no greeting or comment. Poured tea, took sip and just above freezing point. Evidently urn has been turned on late. Got to 8.45 and cook/waitress/cleaner appeared carrying two plates and as passing our table said “ two continental” and we said no 2 full English. At this point she trained around and slapped 2 plates of something vaguely resembling a fry up on the table. This consisted of 2 cremated sausages, burnt scrambled eggs, 4 halves or pre buttered white toast and some baked beans and mushrooms. I asked if there was a choice of egg as would have preferred fried. She moved to take the plates away without comment but stopped her as was late already.I also asked about choice of toast and she mumbled something about not normally a thing??. Proceeded to eat what was edible including a mushroom that took the roof of my mouth off. What became clear was that it had been precooked and left under a grill to keep warm/very hot for some considerable time. Left after about 10 mins and no sign of life. Put keys on bar and as left briefly saw the woman again who was having a fag in the storage area behind the pub. Suffice it to say we won’t be returning.

We have just stayed here for 2 nights b and b for less than £100 and what tremendous value for a wonderful house in such a quiet peaceful location,Barbara and here lovely family greeted us in a very friendly manner showing us all facilities etc. Do not be put off by Help yourself continental style breafast,it was tremendous, everything you would want, tea, cereal, yoghurt, fresh juice and milk, toast ,etc etc . Room 1 was fine, clean comfortable, not as spacious as we normally get but still okay for 2 nights. Can,t see why anyone would want to complain,we would definely consider staying again if in the area.

The Loft

Reviewed By planegirl100

Stayed in The Loft in November while visiting friends locally. Easily located on the A631 just outside of Market Rasen where there is a Tesco. Jane met us on arrival and very kindly gave us some fresh eggs and milk. Her dog Skye is lovely and very friendly. Accommodation was very clean and included all the little things - hand soap, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, loo roll which was great. The beds were comfortable, it got really dark and was very quiet so we slept well. Free wifi was included as signal can be patchy. There was also a laundry room on site. It's a shame the people downstairs slammed their front door a lot, which come through the floor with a horrendous bang each time, they came and went a lot on Friday and Saturday so it was really quite annoying, we weren't able to catch them to speak to them. I would stay here again for sure and recommend to others

Amazing Place

Reviewed By SuzannahM414

Such an amazing place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Wonderful views, safe for the kids to be free to roam in view of the site. Alpacas to feed, and walks close by. Close enough to the beach, if you drive or nice restaurants if you chose them. Was great to have a BBQ too as most places don’t allow a fire pit or BBQ and dog friendly. Eleanor was most hospitable and we will be back.

Simply perfect!

The barns we had were absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean and in a beautiful location close to Market Rasen racecourse. Tastefully decorated with everything we needed for our short stay, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. It was a lovely touch to find milk, butter and breakfast croissants in the fridge. Highly recommended.

Station House Moortown

A unique and really comfortable B and B

Reviewed By Ginny D

My colleague and I stayed one night at Station House. On arrival we were charmed to see the real historical reminders of its former working life: old railway signage and fire buckets. The House is next to the local line and railway crossing. Occasional passing trains added excitement and interest. Indoors the house has been well converted. The rooms are good sized and the beds are fantastically comfortable: pocket sprung mattresses with the softest imaginable cotton sheets. We both slept wonderfully well. The twin room has a large private bathroom across the landing with a huge bath. The double room has an ensuite shower room. Ian and Charmayne were charming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and huge (smaller breakfasts available if wanted). There was a mixture of summer fruits (in March), yogurt and brown grained toast. The jukebox in the dining room was hilarious. It plays what it feels like playing, regardless of guest choice, with a selection of music from the 50s onwards. The rooms don't have TVs but there is a guest lounge where there is a huge one. This is a unique brilliant B and B - a high point in our tour of Lincolnshire. We loved it.
