Reviewed By dinahJ2825FVLovely, restful location near many amazing beaches. We only stayed one night but could easily envision staying a week and enjoying the vast number of beautiful beaches nearby. We had a very nice dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was really good with a wide range of hot and cold foods. Only negative was the poor wifi in our room.

A very good 3 star holiday village
Reviewed By TheBlagThe smallish village is well designed which allows family privacy and rooms with nice views. It is spread across an average steepish size hill and it has a convenient shuttle buggy service twice a day for those not wanting to walk. The restaurant/ bar children's play area, pool is located across a fairly busy road, however there is an underpass that connects both parts safely. We stayed on a half-board basis and loved the authentic Italian evening meals served with local wine. There is a shop nearby too for lunch products etc.The entertainment in the evening and at the beach is varied and first class. The beach is the fab and the water is not polluted and very refreshing. The gradient into the sea is quite steep and you will find yourself up to your neck quite quickly. However the good thing is the current pushes you back into the beach so no family getting swept out to sea. Finally, as English is pretty much non-existent you will probably be a curio and should expect to have broken English conversations with friendly other holiday makers and the great entertainment staff.

A pleasant surprise...
Reviewed By saberardoMy wife and I stayed here in the last week of July 2016. We were looking for somewhere to have 7days of doing nothing...sleep, eat, swim.... I came across the website by pure chance, asked for avaliablity on Tuesday evening, got a decent price and booked on Wednesday morning and arrived on Saturday. It's easy to get too and is literally a 5 minute (slow) walk form the centre of Marina di Camerota. It's relatively small, with well-kept, practical mini appartments that have all the essentials. There's a small bar and a swimming pool with solarium overlooking the sea. A flight of stone steps leads to the beach (fine sand), where there is a part reserved for the village guests. Each appartment is assigned an umbrella, deck-chiar and sun-bed at the beginning of the stay, so there's no mad rush to get to the beach to try and "save" your place everyday. The beach is in the bay known as "La Calandra" , there are probably better in the area but again the convenience of being in the town and not having to drive miles for a swim, outweighs any negative aspects. (It can be little crowded during the morning but as lunch time approaches, everyone seems to disappear and the water was crystal clear!!!) The staff were friendly and helpful, while also discreet. The "animazione" was relatively poor, if not absent at times, which was much appreciated since we hadn't gone there "to be entertained". The atmosphere was very laid back in the village, no loud noises and no loud music at night...which made getting off to sleep even more pleasurable due to being able to hear the sea while in bed. On the whole, the stay was realxing and anjoyable...so much so that we're considering going back in September.

We have a large private car park with large shady areas of our ancient olive trees (included in the price).

Most importantly, the reception and all people working at the hotel, they are all very nice, polite and caring. That was my first time traveled alone and this hotel with a fantastic view from my balcony and kind warm people took care of me made my solo-travel just perfect. They taking care of you all the time. Most nice hotel and kind personal stuff. Amazing memory. The hotel is very close like 300 meter to the sunny sandy beach and also in the middle of center of the city. You will never regret it if you chose this hotel. My special thanks to Egidio and Giovani De Vita and Federico... and many others who works there very hard to making the most pleasant journey for me and you ...???

Reviewed By JennajuliaPool was nice but service was slow when we ordered drinks. Internet is slow and only works in the restaurant area, but that seems to be the thing in Italy. Bed was horrible! You can feel every string in the mattress and it’s very hard. Staff was friendly but staying here is not worth the money.

Reviewed By 74monicabcamera ristrutturata di recente , molto luminosa sia di giorno che di sera ottima la pulizia colazione in camera con brioche di pasticceria a scelta il bb si trova in una delle tipiche strette vie del centro, il parcheggio gratuito è in una zona riservata vicino al porto raggiungibile in pochi minuti a piedi punto da tenere in considerazione: le camere sono al primo, secondo e terzo piano, con scale abbastanza ripide e strette. la nostra camera non aveva possibilità di stendere, abbastanza scomodo essendo in località di mare pagamento solo in contanti

Il B&B La Menaica nasce nel Giugno del 2012 grazie alla ristrutturazione della casa di famiglia. L'abitazione e' situata nella zona panoramica di Marina di Camerota, offre camere posizionate al primo piano dello stabile dotate di terrazzino vista mare dove e' possibile consumare la prima colazione ammirando l'affascinante centro cittadino. Il B&B La Menaica e' composto da 3 camere, completamente ristrutturate e arredate in stile marino, esse portano il nome di alcune spiagge tra le piu' rinomate e belle di Marina di Camerota: Infreschi - Cala Bianca - Pozzallo La prenotazione della camera oltre alla colazione include nel prezzo: aria condizionata, frigo in camera, asciugacapelli, cambio biancheria da letto e da bagno ogni 3 gg, wifi, tea and coffee facilities, parcheggio in proprieta' privata e (per pernottamenti settimanali durante i periodi estivi) il servizio spiaggia presso lo stabilimento balneare "Lido aruba Club". Vi garantiamo un soggiorno INDIMENTICABILE !!!
Charming, convenient, and felt like being in our own home
Reviewed By Andrew SLa Menaica has everything we needed for a perfectly relaxing week in Marina di Camerota. A huge thanks to Valeria and Raffaele who have everything running so smoothly so that all you we needed to think about was what time we wanted to wake up and get to the beach :)! The room has a nice little balcony with a view out over the sea, and every morning there is a large self-serve breakfast which is layed out in the common area, which you can then bring back to have looking out at the water. Everything is perfectly clean, beds made up each day, air conditioning, etc. In a small but touristy town like Marina, a huge bonus is also the free parking lot, and even more importantly the free voucher for a shuttle to the beach for the entire time we were there. We have tried parking ourselves in the past at the beach and it is a nightmare, so this was a huge weight lifted off our shoulders every day. There are so many b and b, hotels etc, in a beach town like Marina di Camerota, and it is really a pleasure to find a gem like la Menaica where you really feel like there is someone in the background who really cares about the guest experience. This is sincerely what we felt with Valeria and Raffaele at la Menaica, and we can't wait to come back!

Enchanting residence with sea views and hills

The flat I stayed in was comfortable and modern framed by the charming farmhouse arches. I had my own patio in the front to enjoy a drink or meal with full view of the enchanting olive garden. It’s set in the hills of Monte di Luna which is perfectly far enough to enjoy the tranquility and just as perfectly close enough to hear the sea and nip to the centre or port in 4 minutes’ drive. The flat offered a fully functional kitchen with fullsize fridge, and compact enough to not warrant the burden of lots of cleaning. The bathroom and shower size is generous which always feels great. The bed is a king size, very comfortable, with luxury egyptian cotton sheets. The cherry on top is the genuinely welcoming hosts, friendly but not intrusive. I loved their pets just as much and made my stay even more pleasant. However, if anyone’s not a pet lover they stay clear. Honestly, this is an ideal place to kick back, to explore the gorgeous area of Marina di Camerota, whether you like to trek, keen to explore the borgos or if you’re beach-bound.

Grigliate in giardino e cene a lume di candela in piscina , creeranno una magica atmosfera. Welcoming place
Reviewed By SerenaLPSWe spent 5 days in Marina di Camerota, this summer. We were supposed to spent just one night at the Hotel America, but we liked it so much that we decided to spend the other 4 nights there, as well. The rooms are very nice, but what is really astounding is the view from each window and from the restaurant terrace. The staff is very friendly and they really do their best to make you feel at home. La Signora Amelia, the new owner, treated us like old friends and made sure we were pampered and spoiled by her competent staff. We are definitely going to go back next year, when we go visit our family there, again, and maybe even stay for a whole week!
