Reviewed By NapierAroWe stayed two nights here in one of the standard bungalows. The setting approx 15km from the city was perfect. The room was basic but adequate. However we felt the level of attention to guests' needs was lacking. There were two choices only for breakfast. There were no tea/coffee facilities in our room or at the reception. No hair dryer. The beds are hard and at least one of the mattresses needs replacing as it was soiled. While our room was clean, we noted that there were no top sheets and therefore watched as the housekeeping staff used the same top padded blanket for their next guest. We think you can do better elsewhere.

Reviewed By Charles John EAn older hotel on a side street but with real old world charm and very friendly, efficient staff. Breakfast wasnt much but for the price, overall we were very pleased. Located near enough to walk to the border markets in a few minutes. Only down side: the "local news" loudspeaker was directly outside our window so forget sleeping past 8:00 Am. ( These loudspeakers are a fact of life and every city and village in Thailand has this announcement system for local mayors and authorities to broadcast local news and happenings every morning, sometimes with music and or the national anthem.

So worth it for the low budget
Reviewed By FMozA budget accommodation that is so worth it. First, it is quite a pretty family-run place. The staff, which seem to be an ethnic-minority family of a man, a woman and a teenage boy (from what I can see), are very welcoming, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The room is well-equiped and beautiful for that price level. Set breakfast is very filling and tasty, consisting of a plate of 2 fried eggs with toppings of pork, a bowl of rice porridge with fish AND pork (this is highly unusual - it is always either pork or fish, or something else), a small bowl of coconut-based Thai dessert, and slices of watermelon. There is also filtered, albeit very light, coffee. And unlimited bread slices with jam for those still hungry. Location is right up to the border area - pity it is now all quiet due to the closure of international borders.

Reviewed By narutoslayerIf you‘re looking for a nice stay in that location this is the place to go. Very clean and lovely little houses. They don‘t offer breakfast but there‘s no need for breakfast because there are lot of restaurants there for every kind of taste. Amazing view in the cafe.

Reviewed By hagishoundThe location is good for a visa change or to enter mayenmar it's clean and friendly staff and has a very distinctive decor all about the Thai navy very interesting lobby bet is average flat screen tv , some of the lights not working in the room we had , I had prob with the hot water , quitting on me my wife said it worked fine , maybe it just hadent world up yet lol no breakfast all in all ok for me

Wow! What a great place to stay!
Reviewed By Kelly BIf you are ever travelling through Chiang Rai Provence, or visiting Doi Tung, then this resort is an awesome value. Although it is a little difficult to find and get to, this resort is well worth the effort. Like a lot of Thai resorts, you get a little bungalow to yourself. This adds privacy while cutting down on the noise. The price you pay depends on the size of the bungalow, but all of them were very reasonable and I think the max was 700 or 750 Baht. The resort has a little cafe/coffee bar/bar and there is an ice cream freezer. However, the nicest surprise was the selection of fine wines and imported beers from Germany! In short, I highly recommend Doitung View!

Reviewed By Dawid KAnd I mean just ok! If you stuck somewhere in the North and need to overnight, this is perfectly fine. Very basic rooms, old beds & off white linen, tiny bathroom, noisy air conditioning - you get my drift. We could not wait to leave, did not even dare to go to breakfast. Anyway you get what you pay for. As I said it was late and we needed a room. The best bit was outside, waking up literally in the rice paddy’s, smelling the fresh country air was amazing. I will not stay here again.

Unclean and unconcerned
Reviewed By AclaryStayed here on a business trip. Hallway and stairs dirty. Finishing touches in room looked to be an after thought. Very low budget and beds were really uncomfortable. Stayed in the condos outside main hotel which may be why. Would not recommend it. There has to be something better.
