The hotel is located in the township of Lacco Ameno in Ischia, the largest Neapolitan island in the Gulf of Naples. It was built in the 1950’s by Angelo Rizzoli. The kindness and professionalism of any front line worker is unbeatable and I am saying that after dozens of visits in 5 stars hotel around the world. The mix of hot thermal pool, sea closeness and island beauty is simply astonishing. it worths a trip, in any season.

Pools and beach: the hotel has a large outdoor pool - heated water - 2 indoor pools, 3 panoramic pools. The nearest beach is San Montano. Reviewed By cbemdI picked this island and area because it was smaller and catered to more locals (Italian tourists), and it was a fantastic choice. Hotel overlooks the town, beautiful view. Pools were great, not too busy, always plenty of chairs. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are smaller than hotels in North America, but who cares I'm not there to hang out in room and it was clean, nice big shower and my twin bed was comfortable. Main dining room was pricey but bar offered choices for lunch and snacks.

Very good compromise of all
Reviewed By Giordano MRoom 203 (recommended). Not modern nor restyled but essentially everything. The bed was comfortable, room equipped with fridge, safe, tv. The bathroom spacious enough to take a bath. Very good position: few minutes walking from supermarket, the port of Lacco Ameno, the beach, bars, restaurants, hairdresser, tobacconist and all the shops we might have needed. Ischia is a thermal island and even this hotel offers access to thermal pool, steam room etc. (included in the 80 EUR rate per night for 2 persons, i.e. 40 EUR each one). The breakfast was basic, that's my point to improve, in terms of quality and variety. Overall very good, thank you very much to the guys working at the reception taking care of us: Ms. Serena, Ms. Alessandra, Mr. Enrico, Ms. Ludovica.

Ischia paradise

With amongst the best views in Italy overlooking the Bay of Naples, Vesuvio and the lovely town of Lacco Ameno and with numerous swimming and plunge pools spread out over the complex it’s a quiet, relaxing and generous resort. The staff are amazing, cannot do enough for guests and always with a greeting and a smile. We could not have been treated better or more welcome. Arcangelo the general manager was a standout, he should be rightly proud of his team.

La Reginella is located in the Lacco Ameno ity center, has a park of 7 pools and a Spa equipped for wellness and spa treatments. The joys of taste:, the hotel has two restaurants, one of which is equipped with a pizza oven. Beach and sea: La Reginella is located about 800 m from the beach of San Montano and about 300 m from the Scogliera -stone platform - (places for guests with direct booking subject to availability). Arriving by car: For those coming by car, the Reginella has convenient free parking. We recommend contacting the Reception because the area is limited traffic. For direct guests who stay at least 3 nights, a free shuttle is available upon arrival at the ports of Casamicciola or Forio.
Wonderful break in a wonderful hotel
Reviewed By Ailhlin CI have just returned after 6 wonderful days at the Reginella, the facilities are excellent and maintain an old-world charm, and are wonderfully maintained and looked after, the rooms are comfortable (although the neighbours can be loud on occasions as soundproofing isn't wonderful, initially I also had quite small room and the bathroom was definitely lacking in storage etc. however after speaking to staff at reception I was moved to another room and was very much more at home there), the thermal gardens and pools are well kept and ongoing cleaning and maintenance is visible everywhere. The restaurant and kitchen produce wonderful, local food and the staff throughout the hotel really do what they can to make guests feel very special. Particularly I would draw tension to the restaurant staff working under Sig. Gianni, including his assistant Sig. Mattera and all the waiting staff; the housekeeping staff looked after by the wonderful governante and also show the staff who look after the pools including Sig.na Anna and her colleagues. Throughout the hotel however, staff really do what they can to make you feel welcome and comfortable and anything you ask them or request to do seem to do whatever they can to oblige you. I'm really glad I was able to spend as long in the hotel as I did this time and I'm already working out when I will be able to return.

Lovely but needs improvements
Reviewed By abi5296babyThe pool and jacuzzi and volcano spa and the hotel it's self is perfect but the bedroom we was given was very old fashioned and smelt a bit the hotel room was clean and the bedding was fresh clean white bedding but the furniture smelt and the TV was this old silver box TV so you couldn't watch a movie with my family but it is a lovely place to stay if you are on a budget, the breakfast was very minimalist not a international breakfast :( but I enjoyed it there regardless just think the hotel could improve the breakfast and bedroom as they were let downs but the pool was perfect!!!!

It is made up of a main body and three small cottages with garden and was restored in 2005. The Solarium-Terrace with swimming-pool and equipped garden make our guests' stay pleasant and relaxing. Rooms are provided with private bathroom, satellite TV, hairdryer, direct-dial phone, minibar, air conditioning and safe.
Enjoyable holiday
Reviewed By dn0wakAll the reviews are correct, 4star it is not! Staff were very welcoming especially Signor Piero and Concetta. Unfortunately, it is on the main ring road of the island and traffic does not stop. Pool is small and the thermal baths could do with an upgrade, but the food was very good and Chef tried really hard to bring in new ideas. Bread and cakes were made freshly every day. Linen was changed daily and rooms kept clean. Will definitely visit again but will ask for a quieter room next time
