Reviewed By Rebecca FStayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon. We were looking for something quiet and relaxing and this was just perfect. Lovely big and clean rooms with a beautiful view. The pool is just like something out of a dream and the staff was so attentive and sweet. Only two minor downsides: internet was not very reliable and the restaurant and bat close quite early. But this was not enough to give it less than 5 stars, I mean you can always find something to complain about. So this was pretty much perfection.

AMAZING room, shame about the rest
Reviewed By Hannah SWe stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon in June 2022. I found it really tricky to review as I would give our room 4 or 5 but the resort 3. Our positive rating is really all about the room we had. The rest of the resort was mid to low par and we would only recommend going if you get the room we had (or better). We booked a “Pool Villa Grande” which had the most incredible view with a private infinity pool, loungers and outdoor bathtub. It was so quiet and peaceful even when neighbours arrived. The view over the bay was breathtaking and I actually got emotional when we first saw it! We couldn’t believe our luck waking up to it every day. We didn’t actually use the shared pool as ours was so good. The room itself was nice but it was all about the outdoor and views. The rest of the resort really wasn’t brilliant. A lot of the resort (including parts of our room) was shabby and needed sprucing up. Missing tiles, scruffy walkways, old beach loungers, broken wood steps etc. Some of the decor also reminded us of the Flintstones or a theme park e.g the tacky plastic fake log barriers, overuse of stone as a theme and fake grass. Parts of it look really nice but walking around wasn’t fantastic. I wonder if it’s star rating were reviewed again whether it would drop to a 3. It’s a shame as the rooms and hillside settings are much better than rivals on the beach, including 5 star Anantara. The check in and general service we had was not great and very inconsistent depending on who you spoke to. The breakfast was quite poor and food had often run out and wasn’t replaced. We just had fruit and yoghurt most days and actually skipped breakfast on our last day to walk into the village. We also paid 5000 THB for a “private island tour”, but when we were introduced to our “tour guide” on the morning, he spoke only a couple of words in a English. To us, this is a “driver” who takes you between places, NOT a tour guide. The guy was lovely and smiley, and there were some fantastic stops on the way including a breathtaking lunch location, however it was a shame we did not learn anything apart from what we could read on signs. We wanted to ask questions but couldn’t, and some stops we were clueless as to what they were about. One was bizarre - we were taking to look at a hotel on a roadside that had closed down?! Final point is on the restaurant (Stone Beach which I have already reviewed on TripAdvisor separately. It is RUBBISH and such a shame as it has a great setting and a few small changes could improve the resort dramatically. We went once and never again. The room service unfortunately is linked to this and both meals we had were disappointing (basic fried stuff or average Thai food) and we only opted for it due to laziness/desperation. I can’t leave this on a totally negative note overall I would recommend Panviman to others for the amazing room we had, but wish they would tweak some of the negative points and it would improve dramatically. We also can’t end the review without mentioning/recommending the brilliant speed boat offering to and from Samui. We thoroughly recommend doing this vs going to Thong Sala and getting the catamaran with lots of people. The staff took our bags down to the boat and we could enjoy amazing views and a private door to door trip along the coast on the 30-40minute journey. Good points: - The Pool Villa Grande room and views - Speed boat transfer is a MUST do! - Taxi collection from Thong Sala pier - Air con in the room was powerful - Fridge in the room was very cold - quite rare compared to other places we’ve stayed - Cleanliness in room - They gave us late checkout free of charge Not so good points: - Breakfast options and availability - Restaurant and room service quality and options - General upkeep of the resort - “Tour guide” who didn’t speak English - Service and staff - Warning the resort is very steep in parts

A hotel that must have been nice a few years ago - but not anymore…
Reviewed By LucieK79Super cute hotel with nice bungalows, set in the jungle, friendly staff at the breakfast - BUT: the hotel suffered a lot during Covid and it seems that they haven‘t gotten back to the condition before, the wood was rotten at many places, our room was not clean (toilet brush must be 5 years old), the breakfast was the whole stay (9 nights) the same, the staff at reception desk was not very helpful, the fitness room (under construction) was moved to the yoga studio, super dirty room - no towels, no desinfection, a lot of dirt in the jungle setting (no gardener and facility manager is taking care), also there is construction going on at the beach which gives noice during the day, the beach is ok, but there are other more beautiful beaches around the island We know that Covid hit the whole place. But the hotel management (owner) could have done construction work during lockdown. But it seems that it was not done a thing. This is very sad because the hotel could be very nice. The setting is super cute and very authentic. But now a lot is rotten and nature is taking back. It used to be one of the best hotels on the island. Unfortunately we would not stay there another time :-( It breaks our hearts that the hotel is mismanaged so badly.

We had a wonderful launch there, and please do yourself the pleasure of ordering the Tuna Tar Tar for starters ? The rooms speaks for themselves…! Private pool, sea view and the common pool is just a few steps forms from your private house. I would definitely recommend this resort. Worth every penny

Reviewed By TravelfreedomfoodI stayed at this resort for 4 nights and had a wonderful time here. The resort is located right at the Leela beach. Rooms are big with big bathroom and toilet area. As the name suggest they also have Spa in the resort with different types of massage on the menu. Breakfast is included in the room price and they serve lovely breakfast every morning. The restaurant is open all day and menu has various types of food that you can order. Highly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful place to live for few nights.

We found like back to home with their support, and each day with happy feeling.

Reviewed By carma007Please please please try the salmon & or tuna! With vegetables and potatoes. Honestly, the best salmon I’ve had on the island! The staff are all so beautiful and helpful. It’s located on the beach, which nice weather you can be with your feet in the sand and if it’s raining there is also a gorgeously decorated inside area. It’s an absolute must to eat here a couple of times if your on the island. Also their fruit shakes, and cocktails are great! See you soon guys! Thank you for the wonderful smiles and service

It is close to two 7/11's, Bubba's and Summer stone cafe, which we recommend. Their food at the hotel is also very nice. Lots of traditional thai food but also burgers and salads made by the sweetest authentic chef. We had problems with our aircondition, and then got mooved to a new room ?? Nice cold pool, by the beach and good songs on the hotel? We 100% recommend, best stay in Koh Phangan☀️
