Unmissable Experience
Reviewed By 81adistMyself and my partner booked to come here for a week, and I can hand on heart say this hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed at. Everything from the cleanliness of the room to the wide and delicious selection of food available at breakfast, this hotel is an unmissable experience if you are looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway on a Greek island. The staff are always so friendly and happy to help with anything, and during the day bring cold water and fruit to your table (FOC) The room is always cleaned to a high standard whilst you're out at the pool which is also a great benefit. The pool and loungers are brilliant there is absolutely enough for everyone so you won't miss out and have to ge up early, and the staff provide towels for you to use everyday. The room we stayed in was 101, this was a nice spacious room and very quiet on a night and throughout the day, although I imagine all of the rooms are quiet due to the location. I would love to have thanked all the staff by name, although I am terrible for remembering (and most likely would butcher the spelling) but they certainly added to the amazing experience. One last thing the food was brilliant, the breakfast is included and has something for everyone (very continental style with a cooked breakfast also available) and the lunch and dinner which can be bought from the restaurant was always superb and we never had any complaints. All in all we would most definitely return to this hotel again, which is not something we would typically ever do!

I'm glad I requested a sea view room as the view of Telendos Island is spectacular and waking up to the gentle sound of the waves lapping on the beach below our window never got old. We also enjoyed sitting on our balcony in the evenings as the sun went down. The hotel's chef served up a wonderful breakfast that was slightly different every morning. However it always featured some type of cooked eggs, delicious Greek yoghurt and local Kalymnos honey (which tastes of Thyme!), local cakes and other tasty things. The hotel is right on the beach so you don't have to go far for a dip in the sea and there's an excellent bar/restaurant next door called Zobras which had some of the best Greek food we had anywhere. The chaps that work there are also genuinely very friendly and fun to chat with. The elegant lady who owns MasouriBlu is incredibly charming and welcoming. It's a family business and she really takes an interest in her guests and cares that you enjoy your stays. We loved our time on Kalymnos island and would most definitely come back to this charming and great value for money hotel. However next time I would request one of the top floor rooms which have even larger balconies and a hammock!

Spendid View, Overpriced Island
Reviewed By 520eiriniI booked a Deluxe Double room for me and my young child. The Hotel room was sufficient and clean. I selected the Mountain View but I had a wall view! I could get an upgrade to the Sea View room with Euro 15/night however I declined it. The sea View rooms were too tight. Besides the bathroom door while it opens it blocked the access directly to the shower. So once you have first to step in into the bathroom, then close the door to enter the shower area, which was not safe being alone with a young child. However the bed was comfortable and I was really pleased with the rock decoration in my room. But having Ikea sticker on a wood soap rack, a basic bin and not fix curtains was not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Meanwhile the hotel is well situated with a splendid view in front of Telendos island. The breakfast area had an acceptable choice of food but if you want to have fresh mixed juice you have to wake up early till 8am as the climber guests will take it all and they wont refill it. As a world traveller, I am always very enthusiastic discovering new place, I was very sad about this place despite having a beautiful nature. Let me write my discountent: 1. The breakfast was partially on an open space in front of the terrace. I have been asked to wear my mask while being completely alone while other guests were not wearing them. Even the last day, an Austrian lady was not wearing her mask while picking her breakfast food but the young staff did not said anything to her! 2. Accidentally my young child spilled water over the bed late at night, I contacted the receptionist for new bed sheets. while the mattress was wet I returned it on the other side where I found it full of blood stains. The member of staff had no idea where the replacement mattresses were kept in the hotel. On top of that, I had the cleaners wherever they saw me trying to explain it was not their fault. I did not make a big issue to save my holiday but they were chasing me all day long which was really tiring. 3. The chef left the hotel when we arrived so there was no food to order at the pool area. I had to go and collect some food from the main street which was again tiring! I learnt later that I could order some ham and cheese toast but is that enough nutritious sufficient for a young child which made me irritated. However, I have to be grateful to the young lady at the pool bar for having an eye to my child so I could go and collect some food. I truly appreciate her kindness. But still cant understand why they could not make a salad at least. 4. While the owner of the hotel was very nice and helpful man, he recommended me some restaurants. His son and wife where all time watching the guests, in the terrace or the pool area I felt constantly observed which honestly nerved me and wanted to leave that place beautiful place. 5. I kindly asked the morning receptionist about the local bus schedule and she told me to go out and walk to the bus station where I will found the daily timetable. I believe that should be provided by the hotel otherwise please let me know how this hotel is referred as a 4 Star hotel, cause it has a pool, a view and a comfortable bed? And how about its services! Further to this I asked about the taxi rate from the hotel till the port ' village, they told me Euro 18 one way which is the rate given to the tourists. When I contacted myself the taxi operator they told me in Greek between Euro 12 to 14 and when I asked a local he told me they charged me Euro 10! This island has basically 3 rates, one for the locals, one for the Greeks, and one for the foreigners! I encountered that at the restaurants too! I was really upset and found that disgraceful. In addition to this, the restaurants in Masouri like the Thrimpi, the Aegean Tavern, Prego , they all have high rate price for Greek standards, At the Aegean Tavern they were charging E 10 for a Greek salad, and between 12 to 14 for other salads, E16 for a small Octapus, those are Vouliagmeni or Kolonaki prices, the upper Greek area with the highest tax on real estate, so no their service or either their location could justify those prices. Now I understand why the tourists were complaining too. This not the Greek hospitality that I was expecting !

Reviewed By VenetiasamosStayed for two nights. Clean but old fashioned rooms and breakfast area. Helpful staff. The beach undernear is very vlean but you need to pay for the sunbeds extra. Very nice location near the local market and restaurants, where you can walk. We had a balcony with great sea view all day and at night. Value for money

Panorama Studios & Apartments, Myrties Kalymnos The studios Panorama are offering you, with consequence and special care, their hospitality for some years now . You can enjoy a magnificent view from the spacious verandas (70m2): the picturesque small island of Telendos , the island of the mythical sleeping beauty. The sunset that you will enjoy is one of the most beautiful of Greece. In any time of the day, you can enjoy the nature, the sea, the Greek sun under the verdure which the owners took care to conserve for their visitors. The building that our rooms are located is built according to the local architecture and it is in three levels because of the inclining soil. All studios and apartments PANORAMA dispose a fully equipped kitchen, with all the facilities ( coffee pot, toaster, a kettle ,etc) hot water at all times thanks to a solar boiler, a bathroom, satellite tv, and a free wi/fi in the whole building. There is also a fan and air conditioning, an iron and all the windows have an insect repellent net. The apartments can accommodate families (we have baby accessories) or friends from 4-7 persons, commensurate with the needs. The studios can accommodate 3-4 persons. There is also parking space available. Studios and apartments PANORAMA are located 100 m. from Myrties beach. In 5-10 minutes by foot you can reach Massouri beach (sandy ) or Melitsaha (pebble beach). In Myrties there is a bus service and a lot of taxis (just 30 meters from our rooms) to all parts of the island. There are also many restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, bars. You have also the possibility to rent a car or a motorbike, or even a taxi-boat to explore the beauties of the island. And don't forget the picturesque island of Telendos with beautiful beaches, taverns and some archeological sites. In just 3 minutes you can visit it by boat from the little port of Myrties since there are boats coming and going all day.

Such a wonderful, base to explore from with an amazing, spacious shower to wash off the days adventures in before setting off for dinner! Nice and clean with one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in, in all of Greece. We would highly recommend this to anyone! Thankful for this great hotel find!

Ωστόσο, θα έπρεπε να δοθεί μεγαλύτερη προσοχή στην καθαριότητα, τόσο στους εσωτερικούς όσο και στους εξωτερικούς χώρους. Είναι κρίμα ένα τόσο όμορφο δωμάτιο να χάνει πόντους για κάτι που θα έπρεπε να είναι το αυτονόητο.

Reviewed By marina5189We stayed for a little more than a week. Some of our days there were funded by the social tourism programme. Upon arrival, we met with the owner who led us to our room. The following day, she informed us of an optional daily fee for the use of air conditioning and cleaning services. Note that this wasnt mentioned to us beforehand. The cost of the fee was 7 euros a day except for the 3 days we paid for in full. A ceiling fan was available in the room and there was an option for a ground one as well but Kalymnos is HOT. The fee had to be paid. Now, social tourism doesn't mention such a fee in its terms but that remains to be resolved. The room was extremely clean when we got there but, in our 9-day stay there, the room was ''cleaned'' only once and by cleaned i mean the towels and trash bag were changed and the sink and shower were scrubbed with a sponge. The floors were naturally dirty as they would be due to beach sand, water escaping the shower walls etc but the owner simply ignored all that even though they would be getting their money in full by the social tourism programme. During the first few days, the owner would constantly remind us that we have the a/c on or that the weather isnt actually that bad and a fan would be just enough as if they weren't receiving payment for a/c usage. We went there to relax, not to have a permanent scolding for the rightful usage of what we payed for. Annoying and rude. One thing we didn't know this apartment building offered was late-night safari. What i mean is, it would be around 2am when the distinct sound of roach legs moving across the stove exterior would be heard. I alone killed 3 roaches with an almost empty bottle of bug killer that was provided by the owner. Also, we found a dead roach inside a drawer, informed the owner, the roach is probably still there enjoying its life after death. On the bright side, the view was wonderful, the neighboring cats were a delight, the price was low (why would that be eh?) and the room was equipped with all the utensils and cooking devices necessary. Definitely won't be staying there again unless i magically turn into a foreigner where in that case i'll be treated like royalty.

Brilliant budget hotel for a week of climbing
Reviewed By HannaciousDWe are just back from a week at the Hotel Oasis which was our base for our climbing holiday in Kalymnos. It’s a basic hotel but had everything we needed for our stay. Hot shower, fridge in room, bottled water, lovely balcony with sea view, breakfast included and friendly, helpful staff. Perfect for climbers as centrally located in the centre Missouri near great restaurants, cafes and bars. We walked to some of the crags or just hired a car / took the ferry to Telendos for the others. Super easy! Thank you Hotel Oasis! We will be back :)
