Great location, great value, great breakfast
Reviewed By Martin HStaying in the middle of the Peloponnese, but outside the skiing season, perfect location for exploring the area (in search of butterflies and birds). Given it some thought and, to be honest, can't think of a single negative thing to say about this hotel. Not just me. I've read the other reviews and we all agree: you can't go wrong - it's a gem!

Reviewed By 559laurenaThe owner and his son were there to greet us and were very helpful with getting the luggage upstairs (no elevator!) The breakfast was simple but good. The one complaint I had was that despite the "no smoking" rule, the Greeks (and others) must love their cigarettes. Despite the owner leaving ashtrays on a table on the terraces, both our rooms had a smell of cigarettes. It does not take much for me to be bothered by the smell of fresh or stale cigarette smoke. If you have this issue, alert the owner and ask that the room be aired out, ,or be given a different one.

Great beds and linens, solid breakfast, helpful staff and central location in this pleasant town. When in Kalavrita visit the memorial at the hill that oversees the town and remember the fascist brutality that this town seems to have recovered from.

Προσωπικό φιλικό και ευχάριστο καθώς και ο ιδιοκτήτης, σε κάνουν να νιώθεις παρέα τους. Το πρωινό καταπληκτικό, εγώ δεν τρώω τυρίπιτες χωριάτικες και γαλατόπιτα, όμως ειλικρινά δεν έχω ξαναφάει τόσο ωραία πράγματα, πεντανόστιμα και φρεσκότατα. Μείναμε 5 άτομα σε ένα μία από τις κατοικίες για ΣΚ το Νοέμβρη που είχε το κρύο του η περιοχή και ήταν υπέροχα, να είσαι μέσα στη ζεστούλα ενώ έξω να έχει κρύο. Μακάρι να είχαμε χρόνο να κάτσουμε παραπάνω. Θα πήγαινα, ξανά και ξανά και ξανά.

Great value accommodation with lovely owners

For around 50 euros a night we had a reasonably sized and clean twin room with a fridge, sink and hob for simple cooking. Breakfast was a variety of baked goods, some of which were freshly baked by the owner and absolutely delicious. She was also super friendly, funny and charming and gave us useful advice on hiking the Vouraikos Gorge (see separate review).

Luxuries such as a bath-tab next to the bed is not my cup of tea, but its there. Other than some basic omissions the interior is really nice. The bedding very good as well. The interior lacked a chair, a table and a basket for garbage. The room was extremely cold and you could tell poorly insulated. Although we had previously informed that we were visiting with an 3month infant, no precaution was taken. It took around 1,5 hours for the temperature to get to bearable standards. The bath tab in the main room may appeal to some, but becomes a problem when the suite above you begins to use it. Terrible experience! Cleanness was a real disappointment. It appears the suite being delivered not that far from our visit, was never thoroughly cleaned. No Wifi (At all) Parking spaces not clearly allocated to the apartments and appeared as a little less than the number of suites and therefore up for grabs. When you pay 110/night in a Greek mountain village, you expect a good view of something. An utter disappointment. Out suite view was partially blocked by a half constructed wall and for the other part, we were over viewing a some sort of backyard scattered with garbage.

Reviewed By GAV50UkWe stayed here for one night to break a cross country journey between Olympia and Athens. The hotel is well located within easy walking distance to the centre of Kalavrita but is also in a very quiet spot so there was no noise from traffic. As a bonus, the hotel has its own parking. The bedroom was very comfortable and the lady who runs the hotel was friendly and helpful with good advice about where to eat. We would happily stay here again.

Reviewed By steviedownundaWe arrived at 4:00pm with booking confirmation in hand to be greeted by a nice cat & dog. Reception was closed up tight. No other guests or sign of life on the mountain other than our new furry friends. We telephoned the number on the booking confirmation & spoke to a lady with poor English who said there was no booking. Well after a full day this was the last thing we wanted so we booked into a nice hotel in the town, which was cheaper!.

Reviewed By komninoss2018Κανενας δεν ενδιαφερεται για τιποτα εκει μεσα. Αν ψαχνεις για εξυπηρετηση, με το ζορι απαντουν στο τηλεφωνο. Το πρωινο σερβιρεται σε ενα εστιατοριο 500 μετρα πιο κατω, οπου κανεις δεν σε ελεγχει. Τα δωματια ειναι μεσα στις αραχνες, παλια χαλια μεσα στην βρωμα και επιπλεον χρεωση 10 ευρω για τα βρεγμενα ξυλα για το τζακι. Αν θελετε ζεστο νερο, θα πρεπει να ειστε υπομονετικοι.
