Reviewed By Maarten dI stayed at the Hotel Santa Cruz several times in between climbing trips to the mountains and liked the place very much. The hotel has space rooms and a wonderful view on the mountains from their breakfast / dining room. I found the staff friendly and helpful. They arranged a dinner when I arrived late at night, breakfast when we left very early in the morning, assisted with laundry service which was ready the same day and luggage storage. I can definitely recommend the place.

Reviewed By W5658WEjoseaIt's a really great hotel. The staff are kind and welcoming. Installations are great but the elevator is a little to small for big families. I really recommend for families not bigger than 5 members. The food hass good flavor and there is a lot of peruvian varieties. The one thing I complain is that there are no tours so you would need to find some in plaza not difficult but tedious.

Reviewed By Peru_07_2019Good rooms for a fair price, very clean, with TV, WLAN and hot shower and a very nice breakfast location in the garden. The breakfast is served in a family atmosphere with coffee, tea, eggs, bread and marmelade and a fresh pressed orange juice. You can walk to downtown in 20 minutes. Walter and his family, owner of the hostal will help you in all situations. They organize taxi, daytours and give helpful tips for hikes and trips and restaurants. A good offer is the laundry service. We stayed 4 weeks in the hostel, it was our base for hikes and mountaineering. We enjoied the hostal and had relaxed rest days there between our mountaineering trips. We liked the hostel an we can recommend it anytime.

Reviewed By Kelly KThis hotel is in a good location to walk to the city sights. The staff is pleasant and helpful, the room is a good size with a comfortable bed and warm bedding. There is a Third floor rooftop dining terrace with great Mountain View’s and breakfast is served there. Another area also has tables and chairs and hot coffee/tea available all day at no charge. There is a restaurant on the ground floor with a large menu. Tours can be booked at reception. Great hotel!

Hotel Churup has started in 1996 as low-budget backpackers hostal. During the years we have been expanding and renovating our hotel to serve our guests' needs. Many of our guests were impressed by the atmosphere, views and personal touch.
Quaint, rustic, peaceful with amazing breakfast and a functioning terrace
Reviewed By bellevued1A lovely rustic house near the city center (a 7 minute walk to the main square - so close enough yet far from the noise of it and thus a "sleep-spa") and just a couple of minutes away from the road to Laguna Churup and Unchus village - and thus ideal for those who wish to explore the nearby hills, forests and rivers on their own, without an agency - this hotel is one of my favourite ever lodgings in the Peruvian sierra. The interior decor is quaint and includes lovely details as well as a huge fireplace (which works at nights) in the dining hall where amazing buffet breakfast is served which includes among else pancakes, scrambled eggs, veggies homemade brick-oven-baked bread, various juices and fruits as well as desserts. The guests can freely use the terrace above the dining hall where there are amazing views to the surrounding mountains (see my photographs if interested) as well as the courtyard which is ideal for some light exercises or yoga practice. Great for couples and friends travelling together who enjoy quiet, peace and relaxing as well as romantic atmosphere.

Lovely hotel in Huaraz
Reviewed By eec201Loved this hotel! The rooms were very well kept and comfortable, and the staff was super helpful. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and we had a great home-cooked dinner at the hotel one night, too. The location is a short walk from the center of town, and an easy ride to/from the bus station that we arrived in. The hotel's layout was very cozy with a lovely central courtyard - we'd definitely stay in one of the villas when we are back with friends.

Beautiful, friendly oasis
Reviewed By Malfroy_KateI recommend everything about Hotel Colomba! This is my first visit to Peru, and we are staying in Huaraz as the base of a 6week trekking holiday. The hotel is very well located near the centre of the busy town but, due to the high walls and large area of beautiful gardens, it truly feels like a quiet oasis. The rooms are meticulously clean, the service friendly and outstandingly helpful (we had a small medical issue while here and the owner/manager Lucio could not have been more helpful in sorting out where to go and who to see). We look forward to returning here in future and heartily recommend the Hotel Columba to you all.
