Reviewed By bichenoThe room was not very clean, bedsheats with stains on it. The locations is good next to a little shopping centre. Bad was the breakfast, cold eggs, dry tortillas and bad coffee. We would not stay there again.

Reviewed By Jrickson1Traveling from Panama City to Playa Vanou takes you through Citri, at about the half way point. We were tired and hungry needed a place to sleep, eat and perhaps grab a few rays by a pool. We located the Gran Hotel Azuero at about $100/night. The facilities were very nice, the room clean and spacious and the pool well equipped with lounge chairs, towels and access to drinks, the first one free. Right next door is an open air restaurant that serves a whole corvina fish fried with sides for $15. This is a great taste of local fare, if you are so inclined. We stayed but the one night, but it met all the requirements. My only issue was with breakfast. It was a buffet affair, with everything in warming trays, which is so often the case in hotels. EVERYTHING was cold and less than tasteful. The one exception was the oatmeal, which was some of the best I’ve ever had; go figure hu?

Perfect for an overnight stay
Reviewed By dasreiseteamThe name has changed to Faranda Guayacanes. The hotel is quietly located on the Chitre bypass. It consists of several 2 story buildings set in a circle around a pond. Our clean room was spacious but basic. Apart from 2 queen size beds it had a desk and a chair, a tiny bathroom but the shower was big enough. 2 small pieces of soap and a shampoo were the only amenities but a cooler with ice was located outside. Due to the pandemic no meals were offered. Considering where this hotel is located we recommend it certainly for a one night stay. There is a big supermarket with several shops and a Subway just down the road.

Reviewed By Victor Hthe rooms are clean. the area is good for explorig at night when back to hotel. the staff is friendly, but not much english. free wifi. all in all a 4 star because it is in a good location, walking distance to shopping places.

RISTO BAR DA FABIO & VILLA SUIZA RESORT ubicado entre l'arena y parita carretera nacional nel puro medio de la naturaleza a solamente 5 minutos del centro de chitre' ofrece: comida italiana mediterranea casera baja de grasa sin perder el gusto de comer bien...Una buena seleccion de vinos y licores importados..Piscina con cascada de agua con Banca de massaje , jacuzzi y pool bar.
Overpriced for its location and (lack of) cleanliness
Reviewed By Jeremy GThe floor of our room was dirty with dust bunnies in the corners. The tile floor had not been mopped in quite awhile. We had to leave the window in the bathroom closed since it did not have a screen to keep the bugs out. The hotel is 2-3 km outside of town. The manager was friendly and I mentioned the concerns about cleanliness.

Reviewed By anto1487La visita al hotel fue solo por motivo de pasar la noche en el lugar, ya que tenía un evento en la provincia. Las camas son muy agradables, la atención de la persona que nos recibió fue buena. Pero el aseo en el baño fue un poco bajo, ya que en la ducha se veía como sucio en las paredes al igual que en el inodoro. Por estar en un lugar del edificio donde pega fuerte la brisa las ventanas del balcón están en constante vibración y es incómodo para los que tenemos problema para conciliar el sueño. El resto para ser un hotel sin tantas amenidades es justo por lo que pagas.

The room was awful. Small, dingy, old, in need of serious repair. The lobby and common areas were nice, but the room itself was Motel 6 quality or worse. Got the job done for 2 nights, but would not recommend.

Terrible experience
Reviewed By Moni_torridzoneMy booking clearly states that the check-in time was from 15:00. Upon our arrival at 15:15, the property was closed leaving us stranded. After we rang the bell a few times without success, we asked locals for help. Finally, a local man helped us by calling the owner Paula by public phone. Paula responded on the second attempt. Thereafter she woke up from her afternoon siesta and let us in. The man asked us for money for the help he provided. The following day the same situation occurred. We came back from a hiking trip at about 15:30 only to find the property closed. We knocked, rang and called. In the end, another guest let us in explaining that Paula was sleeping! We understand that she needs some rest but, in that case, she should provide her guests with the main entrance key or lock code. We were so upset with this situation that we decided to check out the same day and left sooner. On top of that, it’s worth mentioning that Paula had a very loud TV on until late in the night which prevented us from having a good night sleep.
