Reviewed By Barb VSurprisingly a lovely spotlessly clean well cared for hotel been in same family for years. Recent renovations and fantastic pool . Quiet location handy to beaches. Friendly staff with some English very helpful . Plenty of parking and good B/F.Good local resturant near by great food.

Garden and lawn all around, horse, chickens, dog and cats...your babies can go around without any issue and they really enjoy the time. The room was comfortable and clean...breakfast in the morning outside watching a beautiful field of olives trees.

A true Tuscan gem
Reviewed By TonyDiWestYorkshireWe spent 2 nights in this superb location as guests of Sabrina and Paolo in their small Tuscan vineyard. We enjoyed the hospitality as much as the wine they produce. This place is a real slice of rural Tuscany and great value. As a base for touring the coastline it is excellent. We were very very happy with our short stay.

Elegantly flawed
Reviewed By H3874YFjohnbWe selected this villa for its location and spectacular views. We weren’t disappointed. Phillipe the general manager worked extremely hard to make our stay enjoyable, he lit a fire in the magnificent dining room on cool evenings, organised a wine tasting which was excellent, and was always available. It is impossible however to ignore that this is an old building, originally a convent. This creates constraints such as the absence of an obvious front door, a steep staircase and upper floor arrangements not ideally suited to luxury en-suite rooms. It is apparent that it is some time since it’s most recent conversion and refurbishment and this is most obvious in the bathrooms. The food is of a high quality and well served. Breakfast is good, but a surcharge for fresh juice? Perhaps the addition of daily specials for dinner could be considered. There is no bar, either inside or by the pool. There is an obvious opportunity to offer pre dinner drinks and a digestif in such congenial surroundings. There is an odd and parsimonious policy regarding charging for beach towels and fines for using bathroom towels outside. At this level it’s more usual to price these into the room rate. Philippe and all the staff are to be commended, but they do need a bit more support from the owners.

Reviewed By Dag475I just wanted to say thank you so much as me and my husband had a wonderful time while staying at Hotel Cala di Forno. We loved the room we were in, was clean and modern. The breakfast was lovely whit so many variety's. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful beach with shuttle service. I would definitely stay here again and hopefully very soon!

Reviewed By acheck1962 .Those wonderful guys tried to charge me at 47 euro instead of 36 - one dish was billed 20 instead of 14, another was billed twice - 3 dishes and 2 “mistakes”. Actually food is excellent and it was our 3rd visit during the week and I’m very upset with those funny incident. The most surprising was that they try to argue overcharge - they said that they have to put much more expensive mushrooms - that’s why it will cost 20 instead of 14 at the menu.

Reviewed By froken_myraStayed here for three nights, we travelled by train and asked the hotel if they could help us to book a taxi to the hotel. They couldn’t do that, just gave me a couple of numbers. The staff need to work at the servicemind! Overall it is a hotel right at a beautiful beach with good ac in the room.
