booked for 2 nights in May 2022, in room 3 at the rear of the hotel so nice and quiet. A spacious room well equiped, clean and welcoming with views of the Firth of Forth. Food excellent, and staff helpful. Must make special mention of Smey, a lovely lady who went out of her way by changing the room layout from twin to double. Smey you are a star! and made the stay special . Thankyou.

A gem from start to finish!

myself and my partner were impressed with everything about this hotel from start to finish. on checking in I was blown away with decor, traditional, Scottish victorian vibes made for a very relaxing feel. check in staff very polite and helpful and we got a very surprised but welcomed upgrade. upon arriving to our room the concierge James was already waiting who could not have been more helpful. I was blown away with the room, granted not to everyone's taste but it was huge, had the best views and the most comfiest bed we have slept in. we had a 2 course meal in the lawn restaurant included in our stay and I can easily say was the best steak meal I've ever had, it was cooked to perfection, but what made the experience better was the waiting staff who were friendly, attentive and happy to chat. breakfast the next morning did not disappoint either. Great selection of continental and perfect poached eggs. the hotel looks over the beach and is a quick 10 min walk into town and plenty of parking across a narrow road. there are plenty of cosy spots with beautiful views for lunches/late tipples. unfortunately never used the spa but I will when we return which we most certainly will! thank you to marine hotel mand spa!

Night in a hotel before camping adventures

Reviewed By Barry B

I stayed for one night after a 5 hour drive from Yorkshire. I was on a camping adventure but decided to do the long journey in one go and then stay in a hotel the first night. I liked it here very much. The room I had was excellent and had a sea view. The bathroom was great and they provided luxury shower gels and shampoos etc. I had my evening meal in the restaurant (which I used the online reservation facility to book and which all ran smoothly) The food was very nice and good value for money and served in proper restaurant style. I had a chicken and haggis dish and some lovely samosas. The bar was great as well and had some excellent ales in bottles. Breakfast was very nice as well and the menu was brilliant, having a great variety of different breakfast dishes (even a Middle Eastern one) I'd definitely come here again, either passing through on the way further North or for a nice atmospheric winter break and some more of their nice meals and beers.

Beautiful Property with Wonderful Staff

Reviewed By TJMac823

Absolutely wonderful experience! Staff was lovely and very helpful (Lynne, Douglas, Chantelle, restaurant and breakfast staff). We stayed in the Princess Margaret room. It had two kings beds, a sitting area and dining area. We loved our room as it was spacious and stayed true to the charm of the property. We loved exploring all the common areas of the property - library, sitting rooms, bar, etc. Everywhere we went it seemed to have another cute sitting area to relax. We booked two nights for the end of our trip here and it was a relaxing after a very busy itinerary. The restaurant was delicious and had a good variety to choose from. The breakfast was a buffet breakfast and the staff was willing to accommodate requests. I would definitely stay here again. I only wish we had more time to explore the grounds.

Wonderful gem and outstanding staff

Reviewed By ScottishFion

We stayed here for 3 nights, parent and 4 year old. The place was spotless, like a home from home, with everything you might need. Decor is beautiful and a joy to see. Lisa and Neil were on hand all the time for anything and made lots of effort with my little one, and really helped in any way they could to make my stay more relaxing and easy as a single parent. Little touches like tea and coffee and a well stocked but clean kitchen was just fab. Location is perfect too, everything you need or want to do on hand, or a very short drive away. A really perfect holiday and our first since Covid, made wonderful by all at the Dolphin Inn, would highly recommend this gem of a place!

Perfect base for exploring the islands in the Firth of Forth

Reviewed By Reviewer4622

I stayed here for two nights after a business trip in mid May, mainly to see Bass Rock and the Isle of May. I enjoyed the ideal location, close to the harbour, the beach, several cafés and restaurants, and numerous little shops, and the friendly and familiar atmosphere. The staff was extremely helpful in getting a jacket back to me that I left behind in town. I definitely recommend staying here and already look forward to coming back one day, hopefully with the whole family then.
