Dine here !

Met some friends here at lunchtime for drinks/meals/chats . The place is ‘old’ but has character and the tables are well apart in the spacious rooms. Lovely food (I had gammon and triple cooked chips) . The service was very good and we will definitely visit again if we go on holiday again in that area. Park at the ‘Marian’ car park close-by (£3.30 for 3 hours).

Best B&B

Reviewed By ericak28

After travelling Europe for nearly the last 8 months, this is the best place I’ve stayed. It’s a family run B&B, and they’re all so friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was amazing and they were incredibly accommodating. My friend and I had to head out before the specified breakfast time and they were sure to make us each a breakfast sandwich before we left, and were also able to accommodate my friend who is a vegetarian. It is also located in the heart of Dolgellau, so all the restaurants, pubs, bakeries and stores are just around the corner, but we were also able to start and end our hike right at the doorstep, so location was perfect! I highly recommend this place, and if/when I return to Dolgellau, I will definitely be staying here again! (they also had two incredibly friendly cats living there, which was a bonus)

I wouldnt bother !!!

Reviewed By Daydream35600329608

Well what can I say apart from I feel like we've been robbed ! Poor room , very basic, tv not working correctly- sound won't go up or down. Bed was comfy, and spacious. The next evening I couldn't find my nightdress and when I did find it it was screwed up under my pillow ! Stairs everywhere you go - certainly not disabled friendly in any way shape or form- no ramps or lift. Food at breakfast is very average, mine looked like it had been thrown on the plate and the skin over the cut part of the tomato was so dry from being kept warm it was inedible. If you're looking for a hotel that's keen to take your money ( even taking a 5% tip ! On top of the £255 per night room rate ) well more fool you.

Disappointed

Reviewed By hewyblue69

We’ve been here to eat lunch and dinner a few times with friends and family as the food is usually pretty good but the service is never great, Today it was incredibly slow and lacking in interest towards the customers, the staff, one of which had an incredibly loud laugh that could be heard from the kitchens’ were more occupied by each other than their jobs. we got a drinks order then we’re left for nearly 40 minutes until we made eye contact with a waitress who then came over to take the order, The food was average. The best bit was the Welsh cider. We’ve given this place enough chances now and we won’t be back.

A lovely place

Reviewed By franbY7800BY

We recently stayed in room 7 it was great especially as our family, grandchildren & friends were all camping here too. The room was cosy the bed was the best I have ever slept in. Towels were lovely & fluffy & a lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water. We had to cross a cute stream to get to our room which had a nice little garden. The room was spotlessly clean, lots of tea & coffee etc. We loved it!

The B& B was perfect. Free parking with a lovely outside area to sit and relax in the sun, The host, Jan was very friendly and accommodating. He served a very nice breakfast with lots of choice. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room. Also welsh cakes, bottled water and a mini fridge with fresh milk in it. The bed was very comfy and the large room with a four poster bed very bright. The large window looked over the garden and the smaller one the entrance and cottage next door. Ideally located to get around. We would definitely recommend the Plas Gwyn B&B.

Fantastic bed and breakfast. Right in the heart of the town with all pubs, bars and restaurants within five minutes walk. The service was exceptional and hosts couldn’t have done more for us. Parking included was also a real bonus. As for the breakfast, I don’t think I have had better, if we return this will be our first choice in town. Thank you.

Borthwen B&B

An amazing place to stay

Reviewed By LDCbournemouth

In a lovely situation overlooking the town with a beautiful backdrop of mountains this B&B is an absolute delight. With only a small number of very comfortable en suite rooms this intimate place to stay is immaculate and so well run by the hosts. Breakfast is excellent, generous and always freshly prepared. Sitting on the patio in the evenings with stunning views is a memory to last. The best B&B we have stayed in. Our second visit and certainly won't be our last.
